Harley Davidson 1340 FXRS 1986 reduced price ??3800 (WAS ??4500)

It's a 1986 FXRS. US import (July 1990). owned by me since 14. 02. 10.

Bought from PM Motorcycles. without a service history. but I've kept details of lots of fettling done since. It has a 6-digit frame number that matches the V5C ( a new copy was issued to me in August). MOT expires 05. 07. 15

It has:Mid-glide Zel front end conversion with Hel custom splitter and braided pipes to twin discs. T handlebars. heated grips. fatbob rear fenderSamson turnout pipes (loud). rear rackScreaming Eagle carburetor and coil. orward controls. atin black with Harley ghost decals. Since I've had it. it's had a new stator. regulator. belt. front and rear pulleys. fork seals. speedo cable. throttle cables. front wheel bearings and spindle. rear master cylinder rebuild. front engine mount. recent  Avon Cobras and very recent HT leads. intake manifold seals. VOES. a decoke and various gaskets replaced. Bag not included. The chrome and engine paint is poor in many areas but she never missed a beat all thru' the winter until August.  I have put in many hours and replaced many parts but I've had enough. I can't gamble on the expense of  dealer hourly rates to sort her out. and will let her go for ??3800 (was ??4500) unless I do get the the root of the problem in the meantime!. But I am committed to another bike now. so I'll take any sensible offer. The last bit of the video shows her being ridden back to the garage. but the mis-fire is that unpredictable. I would recommend you trailer her home.  

Update as of 15. 11. 2014. after a few more hours of fiddling about trying to fix the problem. trying a standard carb on her (no joy). then re-fitting the Screaming Eagle. she doesn't even tick over now. So  she's a bit of a project for a knowledgeable person now - hence the price drop. 'New bike force sale!'
