Description

HARLEY DAVIDSON 1937 UL FLATHEAD ENGINE WITH TITLE.  This is an original 1937UL with a clear Virginia Title.  This is a very nice motor but it will need rebuilding.  It has an M-51 Linkert Carburetor and has the correct screw on Tappet Covers.  The rear head has one broken fin and the front has no broken fins.  The cylinders are 50 over 74 cu in and will need boring.  It has only one piston in motor and of course it will need new pistons.  The cam side is complete inside and all of the gears appear to look decent.  There are no visible broken fins on the cylinders and they are 13 fin 74 cu in Cylinders (correct for 1937).  The matching belly numbers are 37-7196.  The lower end is very loose and will need rebuilding.  Keep in mind this is a very old motor and I have tried to describe it correctly but I may have missed something.  The total weight is 140 pounds without a crate.  I will pull the top end off for easier shipping if the buyer requires it to be packaged for UPS or FedEx.  To acquire shipping rates. the top end box will be 22" x 21" x 16" and will weigh apx 60 pounds.  The lower end box will be 19" x 19" x 19" and weigh apx 95 pounds.  Please see by other prewar parts on eBay now.
