1972 Harley Davidson Ironhead Sportster - Original Vintage

 Here it is - as seen at the St Louis Motorcycle Pageant.   The Filthy Wizard.   A 1972 Custom Sportster - all original paintwork from about 1974.   A true museum piece. she does run (needs a new battery) and has been ridden a couple of times.   Originally an Estate find from Maryland. she was purchased from her current owner in Georgia. The paintwork is incredible - really capturing the feelings of the day. and more than likely a personal homage to the owner and his life.   For its age. she is in pretty good condition.   It looks like she lived a lot of her later life in a garage or barn. so nothing of a structural nature seems to be evident.   This sled is truly more than just a sum of its parts - just the headlights alone would fetch a pretty penny. The lucky winner would be applauded every time they took her out - and she should only be worked on mechanically.   The paintwork and custom work on the frame should all be left intact. as they are truly vintage.
