1939 Vintage Harley-Davidson WLD Motorcycle

We are parting with our family heirloom; our beloved 1939 Harley Davidson WLD Motorcycle.  It has been in the family since the 1970's and only has 3180 miles on it.  We were told that it was an old military motorcycle and originally had a side car.  It has a rare reverse gear which makes sense if it had a side car.  It was restored in the 70's before we purchased it in Auburn. Ca.  It has been registered for street use up until 2003 but only started and ridden around the block.  The original motor was rebuilt and is an 800 cc flat head 45. It has an older paint job which is plum. a beautiful black Corbin seat. and retro-rewiring (6 volt).  The front end is a 1966 Sportser. and the frame and engine numbers match.  It is in really rice shape. and is a nice driver. but not a show vehicle.  It leaks oil like most Harleys and has some chips and scratches in the paint.  The chrome is good. but does have some slight pitting and surface rust in some areas. This is a classic Harley that is sure to appreciate in years to come.
