Description

For sale is my 2009 Harley-Davidson Street Bob (FXDBi). This is the first and only year the lower half of the engine (primary. cam chest. etc. ) was finished in the gray powdercoating. This bike has been nothing but reliable and enjoyable for me. I even toured Europe with it (shipped via airplane). and it has only been modified from bone stock form for approximately 6. 00 miles. I am the original owner. I do have the title in hand. Absolutely ZERO test rides without verified real cash handed to be by a teller at a bank in-hand. I am willing to trailer the bike for free within 100 mi. of Atlanta. ? I can trailer it for an extra cost (estimated cost of gas there and back) up to 250 miles from Atlanta. ? This of course only after payment has been made. Why I'm Selling: Because I don't ride much anymore. I lost the interest. Especially after encountering Atlanta drivers. oh my freakin' God could driver's be any less aware of motorcycles? Probably not. And I'll use the money to build a deck. haha. Current Mileage: 24. 00 Modifications - Engine: The bike has been modified with top end gear. The engine is a Stage III Dunn Performance big bore upgrade. This includes ported/polished HD heads. ported HD throttle body. 103" HD jugs. etc. The compression in this build is pretty high and I should have gotten compression releases but I didn't so it'll start a little slow when warm. You have to give it some throttle when starting cold before it'll idle smoothly - typical of a high compression build. The jugs were modified to have the aluminum exposed on the fins as you see in the photo (normally they'd be all black). The cams are also upgraded with Fueling 574 Reaper cams (a midrange cam perfect for making a fast Dyna) with the Fueling high flow oil pump and cam plate. Cam bearings were upgraded during the build. The clutch has been upgraded to an Barnett Extra Plate clutch pack - the build will burn through a stock clutch pretty quickly (it's got some balls). The ECU is upgraded to a ThunderMax Autotune wideband unit which offers tons of automated and manual tuning options (I do have the original ECU and a Screamin' Eagle Race Tuner mated to it that I will include). The coil is also relocated to where the OEM horn was. A replacement. much louder horn is relocated to the front (see photos). Modifications - Suspension: Suspension upgrades include lower rear springs (Progressive 412). lower front suspension (also Progressive). and Ricor Intiminators in the front suspension (look them up. they're excellent for making an ancient suspension design work like a dream). Modifications - Brakes/Exhaust/Cosmetics: 180mm (wider than stock 160mm) rear tire. ? The stupid Sparto tail light on the rear fender was deleted (this cost a fortune to do and required a new fender and repaint. won't find another Dyna like it). Black throttle cables. Left side license plate mount. A replacement (much better looking) headlight was added. An absolute fortune's worth of high quality powdercoating to the front end (thepowderpro. com). black mirrors. relocated front turn signals off the bars. underhung mirrors. Santee 14" thick bar ape hangers. Performance Machine grips. black levers. blacked out front light covers. a braided front brake line. Rocket Bob's Cycle Works (out of the UK) cam chest cover. upgraded chrome brake rotors. a Le Pera low profile seat. and more I'm certainly forgetting. Oh. and the exhaust is a Vance & Hines sideshot. ?  Maintenance: Starter clutch just replaced with upgraded unit. Battery rests at 12. 6V. All oil/fluid changes (except the first after 500 mi. which the dealer requires be done by them) were done by me using Mobile 1 in the engine and Redline synthetics in the primary. I change the oil every 2. 00 miles and at the end of each season. I always use K&N or Harley oil filters. I change the primary and transmission fluid in accordance with H-D's requirements and always use new o-rings. where applicable. I just replaced the cam chain tensioners (they usually go out around 25K. mine were fine but good preventative maintenance that'll cost you $400-800 at a dealer to have done) and the front motor mount. For interval maintenance (i. e. . the last one was at the 20K mi. mark). I used either the dealer or a place called Heavy Metal Custom Cycles in Minnesota (where I'm from) to do tasks that I could not do on my own with the tools I had at the time like belt tension. alignment. etc. I replaced the brake pads with HD OEM pads about 5. 00 miles ago - they should be good. Included But Not On the Bike: - Original ECU with mated Screamin' Eagle Race Tuner Faults: The front brake reservoir's paint has chipped. This was caused by the brake fluid coming out when I was bleeding the brakes after putting on the braided brake line. Oops. A simple replacement and rebleed of this reservoir will solve that but the existing one works just fine so I haven't bothered. One of the screws holding the S&S air cleaner cover went missing but I am replacing it. ? I've already ordered a replacement but obviously they haven't come in time for the photo I took. ?  The fuse panel/ECU cover (left side of seat) fell off while riding and is scratched up as a result. I haven't gotten it recoated but this wasn't the result of the bike being dropped or anything. just Harley not using a smart approach to mounting this. The mounts were replaced by the dealer but. for some reason. Harley didn't want to replace my cover saying it was my fault for taking it off. a-holes. There's a couple paint touch ups to the handlebars. The rear shocks powdercoat job has faded. You can tell the quality of the front end's powdercoat vs. Progressive Suspension's powdercoat because my powdercoat work has zero fading over the same duration. It is what it is. Again. I really don't care and I think it adds to the hard and fast (vs. chrome and cheesy) character of this bike. The Le Pera seat has a couple tears in it. This was caused by a friend who put a strap over it when we were transporting them in his trailer. Ohwell. get it recovered. sew it. it's not a big deal. Again. I liked the character of it so I just left it. ?  Fine Print: As with all sales of used vehicles everywhere and since the dawn of time. no warranty is expressed or implied and this is an as-is sale. ? A sales contract will need to be signed by both parties to this effect.
