Want a Harley for Christmas?

This FatBoy will look even better under YOUR tree. than it does under ours! This was a private-party trade-in here at our RV dealership. and even though my boss LOVES it and is more than happy to keep it until spring. so he can ride it. I talked him into letting me put it online. just in case someone "needed" something to put under the tree this Christmas. It's clean. It's got low miles. It runs great. It sounds great. I didn't see any scratches or dings in the body. There are no signs of it ever being down. The cases are dry. The chrome is shiny. The tires look great. If a Maryland buyer wants to purchase this Harley. we'll take care of the state safety inspection for you when you click Buy It Now - just give us a day or three since we don't do motorcycles here. and have to take it to a local shop to have it done.

As you can see above (and in the photos) it has a ton of accessories on it - but it's not "overdone". All the bodywork is original '03 bodywork - I used to sell Harleys. and I know how they are about this '03 stuff. You canNOT get duplicates unless you send your damaged part to the factory first. The pinstripe tape is not available. The badges are not available. They're trying to keep the value up on these motorcycles by making sure nobody can "fake" one. and this one is correct.

Chrome is so hard to get good photos of. but as you can see - all factory stuff!

And yes. we have the factory seat to go along with the motorcycle. The seat is the only original part we got with it. though.

This is a NICE motorcycle. I know - wintertime makes it hard to think about riding. but these '03s don't pop up often. If you or a loved one has been looking for one. this is a very nice example.

After we get a feel for what THIS unit is like. we look at comparable units for sale. and we look at ?ˆ?the book?ˆ? and we see what the? industry? thinks one of these units is worth based on how they hold up over the years. We take all that information. we look at how much work we?ˆ™ve had to do to the item in order to be able to sell it?ˆ¦and we put a price on it. We use the prices we do. because they?ˆ™re a fair price for the item as it sits in the ad ?ˆ“ fair for both the seller (us). and the buyer (you). Unless specifically mentioned in the ad above. this vehicle has NOT been inspected.

We're only certified to do inspections for the state of Maryland - spending hours and hours doing an MD inspection for a unit that gets bought by an out-of-state buyer? Is futile. because the MD paperwork isn't worth anything in a different state. So. in order to keep our costs as low as possible for EVERYBODY. we don't spend all that time and money doing an inspeciton that may or may not be valid for the buyer. Instead. we advertise the LOWEST possible price for the vehicle - knowing full well that no matter what state the buyer lives in. they're going to have to pay for the inspection through their state - whatever state that is. Everybody gets the same low price; everybody has to go through their home state's inspection process once they own it.

When I check these vehicles out for the ads. I drive them a short distance and check all the important (expensive) functional items. and I report what I find. I do not put tools on them. I do not measure brakes. or dismount tires. I perform. simply. a VISUAL check and a "turn it on / turn it off" FUNCTIONAL check on the "major stuff". I am a gearhead - I have. over the years. built and maintained my own musclecars. motorcycles. cars and trucks and I still maintain my own vehicles today.
