Up for NO reserve auction: 1972 Harley Davidson (Aermacchi) SS350 Sprint. Bought this bike at an estate sale of a closed Kawasaki shop in southern Ohio. Bike sat 10 plus years. Have a good PA title. Ohio title said 11400 miles. I do not believe this to be correct. These speedos did not work well to start with and something needed to be recorded to obtain an Ohio title for the estate. Looks to be 1938 miles. The way this runs I believe it to be less than 2000 miles. Anyway. Here is what I have done to the bike:
* Complete carb overhaul in our state of the art hot ultra sonic tank.
* Fuel tank flushed. inline fuel filter and new fuel lines. (tank was previously coated and looks good)
*New air filter (Uni filter)
* Complete engine tune: oil. valve adjust. points cleaned and timing set.
* New Yuasa battery. All light and horn work (except needs front brake light switch)
Sprockets and chain are good. tires have decent tread and hold air. Should be replaced if you want to make it safe. This bike starts. shifts and drives as it should. Starts pretty easy. Kick starter sometimes stays down but will always return if rocked. I have test ridden this bike. Runs good. I took it up to 60 MPH. Thought that was plenty fast on these tires. I will include an extra speedometer off a 1974 model with low miles and in nice shape. (see pictures)
This is a last year model for this style engine (1972) Has wrong seat but works fine. Needs secured at the front mount. When you are on it is OK. Would make a great candidate for a winter restoration. Make a great bobber also! This bike just needs a decent paint job. Somebody sure wanted everyone to know it is a Harley! Sold as is.
