1948 HARLEY DAVIDSON PANHEAD BASKET CASE 95% COMPLETE

Up for grabs is a very nice 1948 Harley Panhead basket case. It belongs to a friend. He has owned this bike for 25 years. Here is what I see: a nice 48 rigid frame . neck looks repaired but a nice job. Repair on seat post tube & sidecar loops are missing but its a nice runnable frame. Nice uncut springers. with ride control flanders style risers & bars. 16" wheels with good tires & all correct brake plates. drums. shackles. etc. Nice original front & rear fenders. Very straight. A few extra holes but they are nice. Nice oil bag. re-pop tanks on bike but comes with a set of brand new re-pop tank-shift tanks and a nice brand new leather Corbin solo seat. The motor is in pieces but cases are nice with one welded motor mount. Cams. lifters. stools etc. all look good. Heads are matched set of 1950 date code heads complete with no damaged fins & no cracks visible at plug hole or valves. These are a nice set of complete heads ready to run. The transmission is an early 4 speed. complete and rebuilt some years back. What you see is what you get. Sold with a bill of sale. must be picked up in Williams AZ. or buyer must arrange transport. We will box up the loose parts and help load on this end. This is a very nice project with lots of good early vintage parts. and will be a good investment when finished.
