1955 Harley Davidson FLE 74" Panhead Project Bike w/ Title - Frame. Motor & PartsUp for auction is a 1955 Harley Davidson FLE 74" Panhead Project Bike w/ Title - Frame. Motor & Parts - Clean Title that goes with the motor as pictured. The motor cases are in very nice shape with clean VIN and matching belly case numbers. The crank spins freely but we have not split the cases as the timing gear on the end of the crank is still in place. The only repairs or damage on the cases is a built up weld repair to the top front case bolt hole and there is a very small crack on the top lip of the primary case ridge on the left as pictured. The motor comes with all of the parts pictured but we are missing the top end including heads. pistons and cylinders. This is the first year of the left side Timkin bearing main bearing and the beefed up lower end that was used for the rest of production. The transmission case has a weld repair on the back side and is a 1956 or later as it does not have the case breather. The gears. top cover with shift drum and right side kicker cover are all original parts. The frame is a correct 1995 part with the 5/16 -18 threaded coil mounts and uncovered front steering head lock. There have been some modifications as follows: altered top mount for the seat and tanks. some moulding around the castings at the neck. no sidecar mounts. cut off brake rod cross over on the right side of the frame. missing tool box mount and studs welded to the rear upper cross bar. The project comes with a clear Arizona Title and matches the motor numbers. I have loads of photos posted within the body of this listing so please give them a moment to load.
