Lehman Renegade trike. this trike has been professionally converted by Trike Design in 2006.

This trike has been converted to carbs by HD of Newcastle in November 2012 at a cost of over ?2000.

People often ask me why convert EFI to carbs. nbsp;having been a HD owner for many. many years there is a reason for this. /p>

A HARLEY SHOULD SOUND LIKE A HARLEY. NOT A WIMPY SEWING MACHINE!!! AT IDLE. WITH THE THROTTLE CLOSED. THE RPM'S SHOULD REMAIN AT A STEADY RATE. NOT TAKE OFF ON IT'S OWN AND VARY INCONTROLLABLY. WHICH HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH EFI!!! THERE IS NO REAL PERFORMANCE NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU TAKE IT IN FOR A TUNE UP!! THERE IS NO TOURQUE AND NO TOP END WITH THE EFI SYSTEM SO TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS GO BACK TO CARBS THIS WILL GIVE YOU AN EXTRA 18 BHP AND YOUR ENGINE WILL RUN SMOOTHER AND COOLER WITH EXTRA TOP END IF NEEDED IDEAL FOR A TRIKE OR TRAILER TOWING  

 The problem starts that the fact is there isn't a provision for an oxygen sensor that makes "real time" adjustments to the EFI. as you ride the conditions change.

The systems employed by HD are the least expensive versions of fuel injection. that means whatever the "map" is set up as is what you get. So if the "map" is not correct will never perform correctly.    

HD are trying to find a proper solution for the HD EFI but so far there are always problems associated with the remedies.

To solve the problem and ad performance convert to a high end carbs

whilst changing the carbs I also incorporated high end extras which were:

High performance ignition. fully programmable w/switch for single or duel fire mode.

High performance 80. 00 volt 3 ohm Single Fire Coil for better performance!

ACCEL 300+ ignition wire set 8. 8mm silicone eliminates RFI leakage and has low 150 ohms Ferro Spiral core for maximum spark delivery.

Champion copper plus plugs hotter spark to prevent fouling.

MIKUNI 42 mm carb.

K&N Hi-Flow air filter assembly.

Russell street flex hose with braided stainless outer.

SHO polished tube seal hose ends.

PINGLE "Designer" Power flow fuel valve w/filter & on/off reserve position.  

 New barrels. Pistons. amp; Rings fitted only one month ago as part of a FULL MAJOR SERVICE.

All New JAMES high end gaskets fitted with above service.

EZ STEER fitted at a cost of ?1400. 00.

HAMPTON REVERSE GEAR.

BILLET DUEL front brakes.

SHOWA AIR SUSPENSION (new shocks fitted 2 months ago)

NEW chrome starter and pinion gear fitted (3 months ago)

New Continental  Front tyre fitted 200 miles ago.

Rear tyres have 7mm of tread left.

HD Chrome electric fan.

HD Full chrome lamps and spots.

Full HD chrome light cover brows.

HD Chrome grips and levers.

Full chrome switch gear.

Chrome passenger grips.

HD Chrome passenger footrests.

Full Chrome exhaust covers front to back.

Full Eagle Derby covers including some very rare ones.

Chrome anti vibration foot rests.

Chrome cruise pegs.

Face lift pack.

Tow bar and electrics.

ALL CHROME IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!

OVER ?8000 SPENT IN THE LAST 4 YEARS ALL RECIEPS (INCHES OF THEM)

Please don't be put off by the age of this trike. this bike is mechanic sound and has won shows over the last 3 years. when you see the trike you will know what i'm talking about.

Would love to sell trailer with trike as colour and light matched to trike. however may consider splitting if trailer not wanted (it would be a shame to split)

Trailer has over ?1200 spent on alone.

This trike has been assessed  by Insurance Company and agreed valuation at ?22000. 00.

This trike has been a loving hobby. however due to a family illness a very reluctant and genuine sale is needed.
