1971 Hodaka Ace

1971 Hodaka Ace 100 project bike. I got this bike in a trade and it is in as-found condition. Reportedly has a 125cc kit. Engine internals - crank with rod and all transmission parts - have been removed. Piston is in the cylinder. Cylinder bore is very clean and appears to have been recently honed. Combustion chamber has light indentations indicating the ingestion of some foreign object, ikely a pin for the rings, ut damage is very light. Hopefully you can see it in the photo. Piston has "std" stamped on top. Transmission parts - all gears, tc., ook excellent. The bike reportedly sat outside for about three years. Forks, ims, ank, nd engine externals all look very good. Handlebars are rusty as is seat pan. Tank has several small dents and internal surface rust but looks pretty good inside. I don't know if the pipe is original or not but appears to have had a silencer welded on to the end. Bike is up and rolling on good tires and has great restoration potential. The only missing item I am aware of is the air cleaner assembly. Build date is June 1971. Clearly labelled on the identification plate as being for competition only so has no title.
