1973 Hodaka Wombat 125 Enduro

  This auction is for my 1973 Hodaka Wombat 125.  Its in great condition for its vintage as the pictures show.  It starts right up easily. runs great.  Has only 324 original miles. however the mileage may change slightly before sale of the bike.  I am the second owner of this bike. the first owner was a farmer who used it only on his property.  I have since owning it registered it and made it street legal. I keep it insured for whenever I want to take it for a short spin around my neighborhood. down my long driveway to get the mail. or even teaching my boy to ride motorcycle on it around my large property.  Being an avid motorcyclist for years. owning many superbikes later. I had the opportunity to purchase this very nice Wombat with extremely low miles. in great condition.  I am sentimental to Hodaka's as my first motorcycle was a Hodaka.   The bike in my opinion is excellent. however its 40 years old so dont expect it to be perfect.  It does look as good as the pictures show. but a few things you cant see in the photos is there is a small amount of surface rust on the rear shocks. there is a scratch on the speedo where the clutch cable rubbed I believe at one time. and the tank has very very slight streaks on the outside of the right side where gas may have spilled and sorta stained the chrome very slight.    Mechanically the bike is great. it has had most consumable parts that would deteriorate over the years replaced by me with modern or original parts.  This includes of course the battery.  The air cleaner is a modern one. the carburetor is new. the points. condenser. fuel lines. fuel petcocks. spark plug. headlamp. all of the other bulbs have all been replaced.    Everything on the bike works well. the only issue I ever encountered is the turn signals are frequently dim. im guessing it to be a ground problem (they are one wire turn signals) or the flasher needs replaced. but im not certain.  It never bothered me so I havent even looked at it for the small amount I ride it.  The tail light and headlight do not have this problem. just the signals.    Nothing on it appears dry rotted. the tires which I believe to be original (Nittos) are in great shape.  I had the seat reupholstered professionally since I owned the bike as the original was lacking the same condition of the rest of the bike.     I can be reached by email or phone at 717 319 4042 with any questions.  I encourage anyone interested in the bike to contact me. and come see it in person.  The bikes excellent. but thats my opinion.  If you are thinking of having the bike shipped to you and not coming to see it first. you are buying it off of pictures and AS IS so know that ahead of time.    Any original parts I replaced including the carburetor are included with the bike if you are concerned with making it original. I dont have the original seat cover though.
