Honda CBR100F Honda Hurricane 1996

Here we have for sale my mistress. like any mistress she has served me well and wanted for nothing. Anything she has needed she got. Indeed. she has just been fitted with a pair of brand new Bridgestone battleaxe tyres costing almost ?300 ready for her new owner to break them in as he or she sees fit. She is fitted with the latest type of Oxford heated grips that not only keep your hands nice and toasty. but will switch themselves off should you have a voltage drop or forget to turn them off. which face it. who hasn't. She has full luggage fitted which comprises of two 15ltr side panniers. (the rack will take bigger ones but I preferred the smaller ones as its easier to filter fully laden with them). and a large top box which you can fit two full face helmets in with ease. They are all the Givi quick lock type. with several sets of keys and are fully waterproof as a wet dash to Spa will testify!! She may be a bit of an old girl but don't be fooled by that. Unlike the modern sports bike that after an hour you cant walk and ache from everywhere. this lady will cosset you in comfort until you either need fuel or merely want to stop and admire the view. Honda made these girls to be very useable and bullet  proof. You can pootle along at 30 mph in top or should you be feeling a little naughty she will gladly drop a few gears and keep up with most things around!! When playtime is over she will instantly settle back to whatever she was doing previously as if nothing had happened. Only your huge grin would remain!! As for stopping power. She has the Honda Link system fitted which in my opinion is better than ABS. If you put your foot on the rear brake you get 70% effort on the rear wheel and 30% on the front and should you grab a handful of front brake. The opposite happens. Get used to it and its a fantastic feature!! Makes the bike really driveable and forgiving.   There are a lot of 600cc variants of theses around but for some reason not many 1000's are left so these are quickly becoming a classic. The Americans love them!! over their they are called Hurricanes.

Okay. weak points. There aren't many on these but because of age the suspension is considered weak. My girls was. so last year I stripped her down and sent the shock away to be completely rebuilt. The difference amazed me. so now she sits on the road as tight and supple as the day she came out of the factory. All she needs now is a new owner and that could be you.

Also in the sale I am including an adjustable windshield which is brand new but I didn't get on with so stayed with the original one and another complete swing arm including a shock absorber. which is untested. but is easily refurbed should you wish to have a spare.

Payment to be a ?100 deposit via Paypal at end of auction and the balance in cash on collection. I could deliver but speak to me reference costs for this.
