 1. 60 MILES FROM NEW!!!   Just testing the water really with this unique piece of history. I have 3 options. ride it. mothball it. or sell it. My heart says ride it. my head says mothball it. so I'm going to try option three to eliminate it. It really belongs in a private collection or a museum. but it is fully commissioned and road legal. just run in. ready to go.  Let me tell you its history. its an interesting story. Its original owner bought it brand new. at the age of 48. back in 1993. It came from Neil Young Motorcycles in Northampton. an authorised Honda dealer. He then rode it to his property in the heart of France. and tried to register it for use down there. Unbeknown to him France had a 100bhp limit at the time. and refused to let him register it. Rather than take it back to the UK. he put it in his garage and left it there. for 21 years! He occasionally ran it to the local dealership for checking over/servicing etc. So. up until last year it sat in a warm. dry. dark garage deep in France. hence the condition and mileage.  Last year he returned to the UK. and bought the bike with him. but now. at the age of 69 he felt it was a bit too much for him. With a heavy heart he decided to sell it.  Being a sensible chap he took it to a main Honda dealer and had it fully serviced and checked over (SEPTEMBER 2014). all fluids were changed at the same time. and the bike was given a clean bill of health. His son did a few miles on it to check it out. and I have done about 100 miles on it as I just couldn't resist it. It is incredible to ride. its like going back in time. to when bikes like this were comfortable. the linked brakes are stunningly powerful. the engine sounds like a sewing machine on tickover. carburates perfectly. and pulls like the space shuttle on takeoff. Everything works perfectly. as you would expect. please study the pictures. As you can imagine it has picked up the odd little mark from being in storage for so long. but nothing that detracts from the bike. The Honda dealership said the original tyres are fine and couldn't fault them. I have found them still grippy and as said done around 100 miles on them with no problem. I have just fitted a new Motobatt battery to it. as a precaution.  It was fitted with a Spyball alarm when new. this still works perfectly. simple technology with very little to go wrong. both remote fobs and certificate included.  The bike comes with:-Owners pack. inc handbook and service book with owners cardOriginal bill of saleCopies of French service invoices. and Sept 2014 invoice from Honda dealer. when it came home. I have no idea what its worth. I guess it boils down to whatever someone wants to pay. But remember this. there is probably not another one like it in this country. possibly the world. outside of private collections or museums. You are welcome to come and view it.
