This Honda Deauville has come up for sale here in West Sussex. There are some scuffings on the right side of the bike but apart from than that it is a good sound bike with a good service history. If you are interested in this bike then do get in contact and ask as many questions as you like. Instructions to purchase. Check with me that bike is still available. Send ?100. 00 deposit via card (over the phone) or PayPal PayPal user id available on request). Text or call 07711 116592 or 01273 782835 or email oldbikerworld@gmail. com or leppardlegs@gmail. comGood points. The ride is spot on. There were no advisories in the current MOT test periodElectrical items & instruments all working with no warning lights showing. Controls (levers knobs etc) all adjusted correctly. Low general wear and tear. New front brake pads fitted. Included paperwork; HPI print out (all clear). V5 registration document. owner’s manual. service book (fully stamped by dealer). service history invoices. the current MOT test certificate. expiring October 2015. Datatag paperwork. Original spare keys. Bad PointsScratched on right and small fairing piece missing. Clutch switch disconnected. Heated grips not working. Extras security fitted to the bike. The bike has been fitted with Datatag. The Alphadot system uses hidden markings to make the bike more secure. and attracts an insurance discount (usually 10%). The Ride. The bike feels spot-on. the wheels and steering feel perfectly aligned and there are no unusual effects in the handling. suspension. cornering or braking. When cold. the engine bursts in to life straight away. There is no smoke. unusual noise or any other sign of any excessive wear. As the motor warms it settles down to a nice slow tick over. When under way on the road the engine has all the power it should have. accelerating through the gears just as it is supposed to. I cannot find any fault with the way the engine performs. The wear and tear. I can find no significant or unusual wear and tear in the wheels. suspension. engine. clutch. gearbox. steering. seat or panels. There are no obvious fluid leaks. There is no significant wear in the front wheel. rear wheel. steering or swing arm bearings (I checked them when I took the photographs). I cannot guarantee the quality of the battery. However the battery does show 'good condition' on a ‘battery optimiser’. The battery seems to be starting the engine. Using the battery over a longer period than I am able to do. will tell you if it is OK. Is the mileage right? The mileage shown on the VOSA MOT test history and the service history shows no discrepancy. However whilst I think it is possible that it is right. I have no outright proof. Other. There are no signs of any serious previous accidents in the history or around the bike. There is no mechanical reason why you will not be able to ride this bike away. There are no other visible faults or damage. VideoThe ride demonstration & details video in this description is intended to give you an idea of the wear and tear. and any defects that I have found. whilst examining and testing the bike. The video also give more detail on points relating to the paperwork. the good & bad points. I do not always make comment on items that are supposed to wear or age as part of their normal function on a used motorcycle unless specifically asked. These items can include tyres. brake friction material. drive chain and sprockets. tyres. fork seals and lamp bulbs and anything else that might be affected by wear or age. Whilst you could perhaps ride it home I would not think it would be a good idea. because the bike has not been used for a long time and is a bit of an unknown quality. I would recommend the bike be taken away on a trailer or in a van. HPI Provenance Check. The bike has been checked against the HPI database this shows the bike:Has a secure background. Is clear of finance. Is clear of any previous accident insurance pay out. Is not stolen. There are a number of other features in the check that are also included. If you go on to the RAC website you can get the check done yourself (at a cost of ?25) they will also cover you up to ?10. 00. 00 in case of an error. eBay will also do the check for you for ?6. 00.
