I bought this tiddler at the beginning of the summer as a project; I fancied working on a bike the same age as me. It had been imported from the US where it had sat in a workshop for 28 years. It was a non-runner and had parts missing and some damaged parts. I have sourced all the bits from all over the world and cleaned the carb. oil filters swapped the plug gave her a good service and got her running back on the road again. She has an MOT until August 2015. she went straight through the MOT with no advisories and was then registered with DVLA and given a C plate and a nice pressed metal plate has been fitted. Registration was easy as I had the original Tennessee registration document. She is not perfect. there are obviously marks etc on it as the bike is 50 years old. but she is rust free. the frame has no rust on it anywhere. exhaust is solid and she runs and rides really well. She is only 90cc. OHV push rod engine (similar to early C90 machines) and has a proper clutch rather than an automatic clutch like the C90. She is classed as Historic tax and under the new regs. the new buyer would have to re-tax her after purchase but it is free anyway (comes into force on 1st Oct). When kicking her over it sometimes feels as if the clutch is slipping but it has never slipped when riding and pulls my 16 stone frame along quite happily I was told on a forum that this wasn't unusual. She comes with what I believe to be the two original Honda (marked HM) ignition keys and one Honda steering lock key. This bike has been an absolute pleasure to work on. Spares have been easy to get (if worldwide!) and I do enjoy riding it. however I am now looking for a new project- I am looking for a British bike for my next project which I will likely fully restore long term and keep permanently. I also need a physically bigger bike as I am 6ft 4in!New parts:Pair of new Metzler tyres. tubes and rim tapes. New batteryNew front mudguard and headlight cowl from Thailand (wrong mudguard was fitted and headlight cowl was broken)New Chainguard from US (missing)Various gaskets and seals replacedReplacement rear sprocket mount with new bearingNew Fuel tap bowl sealSeveral replacement spokes and nipples. I had toyed with the idea of painting the engine but I decided it was a shame as it seemed to have the original engine paint on it. I think the tinware was originally white but has been painted red. It didn't have indicators on it from the factory as the lights in the headlight are used for high beam and neutral and there is no switchgear for indicators. These would be an easy retro fit is someone wanted as the parts are readily available. genuine mirrors are available from David Silver spares for around £13 a pair but I wasn't bothered about having mirrors. To sum up. this is a nice little 50 year old rare bike. not too many around for sale in the UK. It could be totally restored to concours or just ridden as it is (which to me seems a great option). If you have a british bike I would be willing to buy yours if you buy mine to comply with ebay regs; please contact me for any more details etc. Bike is in PO8 area. please feel free to have a look if you are local rather than just seeing the photos. Bike is 50 years old and sold as is with no warranty. I'm not a backstreet dealer and this is a private sale cash on collection or bank transfer/cleared cheque. paypal fees are too high (unless you are prepared to cover them). I am happy to assist if you decide to use a courier service at this end. I will not post to Nigeria so no scamming emails please.

May need a set of clutch springs in the future-- wanted to point this out. These are available from a couple of places online but I will not have time to order them before the end of the auction so will leave that for the next owner. If you feel you need to withdraw your bid then that's fine.
