Honda CB750F2, all original, fantastic condition, super classic

This is a really. really. nice example of a Honda CB750F2. 1977 vintage: the last sports version of the immortal SOHC Honda CB750.

If you don't know. this is the one with the big valves. hot cam. accelerator pump carbs. and the raised redline (9. 50rpm). It was the most powerful of all the CB750s: around 75bhp. and benefited from a decent sized chain. improved brakes (triple disc calipers). Comstar wheels. better suspension. and so on. Enough for about 125mph on a good day.

I actually listed this bike a short while back. and then changed my mind and decided I'd keep it. but I've just bought a superb airhead BMW R60/6 and so it must go. Of course. I might change my mind again and cancel the listing.

It's done just under 36. 00 miles. It is completely standard. with the exception of the steel brake hoses (a sensible mod). better rear shocks (ditto). and a replacement seat cover (the covers can be expected to split after more than 30 years. ) and a set of chrome crash bars. Note that it wears the standard Honda exhaust (utterly unobtainable now) and the standard front mudguard (fitted only to this model. and also unobtainable). There's even the original toolkit under the seat. There are very. very few F2s as original as this.

There's no rust. no nasty corrosion. no broken bits. no cracked panels or dents in the tank. The chrome is excellent. It's just great. The engine is superb. It starts instantly on the button. it doesn't smoke. rattle or rumble. and rides exactly as it should. This really is one of the nicest unrestored F2s you're likely to find.

It's taxed and MoT'd until August - I suppose under the new rules I'll have to claim the tax back. Sorry - blame the government. It's also got a brand new rear tyre. You can just hop on this bike and ride it away.

It absolutely has to go - I have got to make room in the garage. The starting price is therefore just £2295 and there is no reserve. I will not take offers. I don't want anything in part exchange. and I will not sell this off eBay. Buyer collects and I will not accept PayPal.
