Some old MOT's

*Only 4 previous owners*

This bike has done very little in the last eight years in fact it's only covered 290 miles and has been laid up since 2011. I took it to my technician who got it started in no time (well it is a Honda) and gave it a check over.

It turns out "It's not a bad old 160mph bus. " he said. High praise indeed from him. so I put a new MOT on it.

As you'll see in the pictures it's pretty tidy. it starts well and runs smoothly with all the electrics working. I'm not 100% sure that the fuel gauge works yet because the old fuel was drained out and only a little fresh fuel went in (just covering myself). but everything else is working fine. There is a bit of a blow from the collector box which might need a looking at some time and there's slight movement in the suspension bearing (advised). The clutch lever is slightly out of shape and the front tyre will need to be replaced fairly soon (advised).  The rear brake is a teeny tiny bit sticky but I'm assured that it just needs a good ride for it to right itself. There's split in the seat by the fuel tap. The little side bumper cover on the O/S is missing but I'm sure they're cheap and plentiful. There is of course a few scratches on the fairing and the exhaust and a finger print dink on the tank at the front on the top.

To be fair it's all pretty minor stuff that is cheap and easy to sort out as you go along. but I thought it would be better to auction it as a spares or repairs listing.

Please study the pictures for best indication of condition and eBay-mail any question.

It's alot of 160 mph superbike that can still hold its own 20 years later and would make a great inexpensive touring bike. daily hack or weekend warrior.

MCN Says " the Honda CBR 1000 F makes a very good budget touring motorcycle. It's hard to go wrong with `em. "

Good luck if you decide to bid.

Pete

I’m in South Devon

Head for The Camel and discover the vineyard that beat the best Champaign to hold the title for the world’s best sparkling rose.  Don’t go home without a mega brunch at Cap’n Jaspers on the Barbican in Plymouth. nbsp;loved by bikers. sailors. later-nighters and. er. pirates!? Spend an evening in great company. alfresco at The Winking Prawn in Salcombe or spend a lazy afternoon at The Oyster Shack in Aveton Gifford. Of course there are cream teas. pasties and some brilliant British surf.  Great gastro pubs. beer and loads of B&B's.  Most importantly you’ll find a welcome from all the bikers in Devon and Cornwall which has the highest density of motorcycles per capita in the UK!
