Added Tour Tank: Tour Tanks are not like a Moon Tank or EMPI tank or any other standard auxiliary gas tank. The difference is that Tour Tanks have added features to improve the safety and handling when mounted onto a motorcycle. The owner of Tour Tank designed these tanks and he has over 50 years of motorcycle riding experience. Here are the differences: 1. Non-Vent Cap and a Vent Tube welded in the filler neck. This feature prevents any pressure from building up in the tank and it also keeps gas off of the top of the tank that a standard vented cap will cause. Just hook a hose to the vent tube and run it to a safe place such as a catch tank. Most modern motorcycles have a factory catch tank for the main tank vent as standard equipment. 2. Stronger material: 1/8" thick marine grade diamond plate aluminum. 3. Many motorcycle auxiliary gas tanks are square. And have sharp corners. In the event of a crash the idea of a sharp metal corner in the rider's back could become a sharp tear in the skin. A rounded shaped Tour Tank is safer in that event. 4. We weld a baffle in every Tour Tank to reduce weight transfer due to the movement of Fuel. This improves the handling of your motorcycle.
