Description

Honda CG125 CG 125cc 2001-2002 M1 Project Spares or Repairs

This motorcycle has been in my possession for 3 or so years during which time it has been well looked after and stored in a garage overnight. It has suffered an engine failure and is not a running vehicle.  Selling as a project or for spares and repairs. sold as seen for pick up only.

It has a MOT until November 2016 but it is not a running bike. A working engine will make this bike road worthy. The engine turns over but does not start. My mechanic has suggested a bearing has failed and the crankcase will require splitting.

This will make a great project if someone with an engine or someone who has the mechanical knowhow to fix whatever the problem may be. Alternatively there are many parts which will also make it suitable for breaking.

The wheels and tyres are in great condition. The rear tyre has covered 3000 or so miles and has plenty of tread left. The front has only covered 900 miles! The battery is also useable and is a great upgrade from the original. New seat cover was put on when I first bought the bike along with an ECB heavy duty clutch kit.

The current mileage is 38500

At 30000 miles the following parts were replaced:

Rear shocks. nbsp;Tappets and locking nuts (genuine). nbsp;Horn. nbsp;Battery Motobat – absorbed glass mat battery. nbsp;Speedo cable (genuine). nbsp;Various bulbs. nbsp;Starter motor serviced

At 35000 miles following:

Rear tyre Michelin Pilot Street. nbsp;Chain and sprockets replaced (DID). nbsp;Rear sprocket Cir clip (genuine). nbsp;Ignition coil. nbsp;Iridium spark plug (NGK). nbsp;Inline fuel filter. nbsp;Front brake switch

ECB brake shoes fitted at 25000 miles

The bike is showing some signs of wear and tear

Cracks in real cowl

Rubber grommet has perished for side panel

Clocks are grazed but fully functional

Exhaust showing its age but fully functional

Foot peg and gear selector are slightly off centre

Levers have been shortened

Tank has small dents and small areas of rust where paint has flaked

Centre stand worn

Foot rubber perished. I will try to find one

I will also try to get a pair of mirrors sorted
