Description

This has been my bike for several years now and has given me excellent service as a commuter. but i am using it less and less and so it is time to move it on to someone who can use it and enjoy it. Someone who can give it a bit of garage time before spring and get it back up to spec.

Bad Points:

It has had i believe a spill before i owned it. The previous owner had it repaired well and it has ran fine for several years. it was not recorded or a write off. How do I know? Couple of marks on the steering stoppers where the paint is off and a nearside footpeg is not bang on the line.

The headlight is European spec. It passes the MOT with a bit of tape over.  A replacement is not cheap so i have not bothered to change it.

The paint work is not perfect in places as i don't really care what it looks like as long as it goes and is safe. Judge from the pictures the condition. it was unwashed but still looks good I think.

The front mudguard has a split - disc lock - the section with the tape in the picture. I can't feel any pulsing on the lever.

Nearside engine casing has a mark from a "oops" moment with a side-stand and a curb. Only a scuff. not a drop and a crack more a gentle rest on the curb! You hardly notice it and not a problem for my sort of motorcycling.

Radiator has a pinhole where coolant is leaking. This only shows itself when the engine is hot and you turn off. This is my main reason for selling as i don't have a garage to do this work myself and the costs for a dealer to do it are preventative. Do your own research regarding repairs and draw your own conclusions. it could just be a simple fix. it could be a Honda replacement. your call.

This is not a mint. garaged. shiny bike and i am not going to pretend it is which is why i am asking a realistic price to move it on. but it is not a dog and it certainly isn't a basket case.

Good points:

It is still a great ride. just keep an eye on the coolant level and it will get you home - well it got me 70 odd miles home but obviously I can't guarantee anything - carry some replacement in case. This does need to be repaired though. I have not added any RadSeal or bodge fixes to pretend all is well. honest see.

Apart from the coolant leak it is top notch mechanically. I have just done an oil and filter change and she sounds gorgeous with no oil burning or smoke. It flies along the roads and is just superb to ride. i hate to be rid of it really.

Tyres have plenty of life. Newish chain and sprockets with a good battery.

All electrics and mechanicals work. Heated grips. SolaLarm which is disconnected.

Back brake could do with new pads but i think i have some anyhow. if i find them you can have them.

Long MOT and Tax both 9 months. All keys. paperwork. and fobs. The pictures show what I can show. and the engine was running and the hazards flashing. they are not on all the time.

So this bike is not clean and shiny but it could be. The leaking coolant is a pain in the arse for me to sort but could be done at home at your leisure and the rad sent out for repair i think. Once this is done you will have a really. really. nbsp;top bike. If i used it a bit more then i would keep it but with this leak and lack of use it just tips the balance as it is a sound. solid. bike. I could - and probably should - spend the money on repair and get more money for her but the balance is in favour of being rid and letting someone else do the work.

The price is a good one - very good I think for this - it is too good to break but parts alone would get you your money back.

So the boring stuff. i am a genuine honest seller but a lot of people aren't so to protect myself:

Come and see it. ask questions - not silly ones like "will you take 500 quid?" because stupid questions will be ignored - you bid to buy. not to change your mind. NO offers outside of ebay please.  I can start the bike up and run her for you. take it out myself even - no pillons as not insured for them - but if you want to take her for a run i need CASH  in my hot little hands first. it will be effectively sold at that point so if you stick it through the first hedge you see that is not my problem.  Insurance is your business.

I think it will be a great buy for someone as a bit of a project and will provide lots of fun miles - my last Fireblade had 90K on and the motor was still strong - bearings went. I have described all i can. and been as honest as i can - probably too honest and undersold it - but it is sold as seen.  No returns. Buyer Beware. No guarantees implied or given. There is no postage. buyer to arrange pick up.  There is no outstanding finance.

CASH ONLY ON COMPLETION OF SALE

Good luck. I know this will sell and put a big smile on somebodys face. Don't wait until the last minute to bid. you will be getting a bargain.
