1989 HONDA XL600V TRANSALP. 26K Miles. Good condition. Runs well. Registration is current. 49 state model. Very fun bike to ride but I don't ride it enough to keep it. 26371 miles to be exact. All components function as expected. All electrical components work well. Lead acid battery is to be replaced with a modern gel type battery before the bike is sold. Battery works ok but should be replaced due to age. Includes factory manual and two keys. This bike is very cold blooded so I have to let it run for 5-10 minutes before taking off. Starts easily cold or hot. Clutch actuates well. No slip. Brakes good with the front rotor coming up to the wear limit soon. No leaks anywhere. Paint is good with the expected scratches due to the age of the bike. The left front and the left side plastic panels do have broken tabs and are zip tied or wired to help hold in place. The panels are still too nice to replace. The seat is not stock. Extra padding was placed for the previous owner as he was 6' 6" tall and needed more height and support. With the thicker seat you do ride a bit higher but the seat is a bit more comfortable. Rear tire has about 1000 miles on it and the front has about 3000 miles. Tires not ideal for any off road travel. I bought this bike 3 years ago and I think I am the third owner. The previous owners kept the bike regularly maintained. It has always been garaged. VIN is JH2PD0606KM201253. Engine number is PD06E-2201445. Looking at the Honda reference book this is a 49 state model and is currently registered in California. Title is current and clear. Please ask questions before bidding. If you personally pick the bike up. inspect it and ride and you don't want the bike you do not have to complete the sale. The price you bid is the price you pay. I want you to like it without reservation. If you purchase the bike and have it shipped. it is purchased as-is and is not returnable. Local pickup is ok and I can assist with shipping. Buyer pays all shipping costs. I can hold the bike for a short time in order to complete shipping.
