Classic Honda Trail 42 years old this year and in great shape. This bike is famous as it was a game-changer when it was first introduced due to how incredibly easy it is to ride -- no clutch to deal with. just pop it into the next gear with your foot. It still has a HUGE fan club - you'll see what I mean if you google Honda trail. Ebay and others have nice Buyer's Guide for these classics. Just google Honda CT110 / CT90 Buyers Guidehttp://www. ebay. com/gds/Honda-CT110-CT90-Buyers-Guide-/10000000006291926/g. html As you can see in the photos. most parts are original. in very good shape with a sweet patina for those who appreciate that sort of thing. Only the muffler looks too rusted out. but still works great!Obviously this is not one of those meticulously reconditioned Trails that go for thousands of dollars and are meant to sit inside on display. This baby is for riding. If you intend to refurbish her. my hat's off to you (although I hope you'll ride her at least a little:)It also has both a regular and a low gear setting. each with 4 gears. for really a total of 8 gears. I have been pleased with it in regular mode for everything. We have some trails out in east county I've taken her out on and she handles everything like a champ. I'm about 180 pounds and on a flat straight away I can get her to about 52mph. Gas mileage is probably around 80mpg. I haven't really calculated it - definitely awesome mileage though. Also has a great rear carrier rack for just about everything (I pop my toddler back there sometimes and he loves it). There are seat cushions you can buy to put back there. but I just use a pillow or folded towel. The handlebars can be released to swivel around 90 degrees for folks who want to haul it on the back of a camper or whatever. Also selling my motorcycle carriers. both for class II hitches. One's a hydraulic lift type for one bike up to 400 pounds (the Trail is well under 300 pounds). It's $60. The other is an aluminum fixed carrier can carry two motorcycles up to 600 pounds total. It's $200. If you only have a class I hitch (as on a compact car). I can suggest a solution for you for a carrier for about $80. I even think with removing the mirrors and lowering the handlebars you could get this in to a Ford Focus with the rear seats folded out of the way. I looked at that scenario pretty close out of curiosity. but never actually tried it. I've been on the look out for a new frame cover as that would really make this a thing of classic beauty - Ebay has them fairly often around $70. but I'm waiting for a gray one. Always garage kept. Carburetor cleaned/adjusted recently. Just changed the oil/cleaned filter. Brand new battery. New seat cover. New tires. Includes Owner's Manual (electronic). I have a great mechanic out here that has done all the key maintenance on her. have records. Issues:Headlights work in high beam mode only. Horn's not working. I don't have the spare gas tank. I don't have the rear buddy seat pad. The front fork shocks are due to be replaced. but the bike works fine the way they are. New shocks would definitely make for a smoother ride though. She has working headlight and tail light. but no turn signals/blinkers. My understanding from talking to others in the know and reading about CA motorcycle laws is that a bike this old is basically grandfathered in and does not require retrofit with turn signals - rather. the rider can use old-fashioned hand signals in the daylight at least. I have ridden her all over Eastlake for about 2 years and never had any problem with police. I've never ridden her at night though more than within a few blocks of home. I suspect turn signals would be required at night for safety. Shipping:Take a look at 'U-Ship'. Shipping is buyer's responsibility. but I'm happy to help get it on or in a truck at this end. I'm willing to tow her up to 60 miles locally. Could meet you to hand her off to you if you're further away than that. Guarantee:Have title and can provide bill of sale as well. California registration good through March 2015. so there shouldn't be any problems with DMV. I will guarantee that and help however I can with the new owner getting her registered. Sold 'As-Is'. but I always want my customers to be fully satisfied and feel that they got a fair deal. If there's any problem with registration or the bike in general. I will try to work it out with you to your satisfaction and failing that I will refund your money if you brink her back to me within 7 days in the same shape. I reserve the right to stop auction at time of my choosing. and on any bidder. Thanks for looking.
