I acquired this Honda 1973 CB500 from a friend of a friend as a unfinished project. he idea being for me to keep from under the wife's feet in our retirement. I believe the previous owner had done some work on the engine but I am unable to confirm this. The engine starts and runs but the carbs need synchronising. He made the stainless steel exhaust system. The frame had been plastic coated. The mudguards and wheels were rusty and that's why they have been painted with two pack and the wheels re spoked. The petrol tank is rust free but the badges are missing as are the badges on the side panels. The valve inspection covers and generator cover are finned. I have had the bike sprayed with two pack paint. he carbs overhauled and new ignition coils. eads and spark plugs and a new battery fitted. The seat has been recovered and a new drive chain fittedThe tyres have plenty of tread but I suspect they are quite old. I have the v5 which is in my name and the engine and frame numbers match. There is a expired tax disc from July 1979 in the tax disc holderI have listed the bike as a project as in my opinion it still requires some work and as such is sold without warranty. I will be happy If I can recover my costs but the minimum I will accept is the price of my initial bid. There are numerous spare engine and gearbox parts. Bottom crankcase half. cylinder barrel which the bores look to be in good condition. ears and gearshift. lutch cover. procket cover. enerator with cover. four Pistons with rings. four conrods. crankshaft. amshaft. ockers. ear shocks. ngine protection bars. iewing recommended before purchase. inning bidder to pay by PayPal within 24 hours of end of auction. or come and check it out and make me a cash offer. Collection only. Sorry for some reason the pictures are not upright and I have no idea how to correct it.
