Description

Welcome to my auction for my honda chopper project. I bought this a couple of years ago as an unfinished project with the intention of finishing it up and keeping it. However. due to having too many other projects that are more up my alley ive accepted the fact that its more than likely just going to sit in my workshop gathering dust and that coupled with the fact that i need to make room. means ive decided its time to sell it. Its a fully custom hardtail frame. unknown fabricator but well built and hasnt been chopped about. The rake is how its been made. Forks are vintage springers that are 10" over. The chrome has the odd scratch and rust spot but i think it suits it. Rear wheel is of unknown origin (came with the bike) but has been re built with new spokes ect. The rim is in pretty much perfect condition. Front wheel is off an old honda and has a bit of rust round the hub and rim but would clean up easy enough. Tank is a harley sporster tank thats been chopped to sit much lower on the frame and has a custom pop up chrome filler cap fitted. Seat is off an old albion plough and seems to be a bit of a marmite feature!Tons of custom bits. the sissy bar. forward controls. exhaust. mud guard ect ect. It has a fake oil tank under the seat to house the electics and the top tube is open ended so you can run cables up it. This means itd be possible to keep it really tidy and not have bits of wire and whatnot all over the place. Battery box is the box underneath that. Bars are again custom. and the risers are built in. The engine turns over freely with good compresion and has been stored with oil in and the carbs off and inlet/exhaust ports plugged. All the gears select. Ive no reason to believe it wouldnt run fine although havent had it running myself due to the wiring. The wiring from the points and the alternator is still in place. The casings are a bit battered about but theres no fin damage as far as im aware. The taco drive unit is cracked but still works. It is 90% finished. all thats needed is the wiring. grips/throttle. speedo and air filters. Included in the sale is the coils. regulator rectifier. headlight and tail light. To finish it off you would need to buy a battery. ht leads. horn. grips. throttle and cable. speedo and cable and air filters. Its on an 81 plate and i have the v5 in my name. frame numbers match. Currently registered as a cb750 and i havent changed it to a 550 on the log book as i was toying with the idea of dropping a 750 sohc back in it but its only a case of letting the dvla know (if you want to). I really would reccomend viewing it as its a project and the only way to get a clear idea of what youre getting is to come see it. If you want more info or photos. please dont hesitate to ask. There could be other bits and pieces needed but ive tried to be as honest as possible. again. best to come and view it if youre unsure. Will make someone an easy project ready for summer. Cash on collection and youll need a van or trailer thats big enough (its nearly nine feet long!). Cheers for looking!
