1996 Honda cg 125

Here's your chance to own a unique. eye catching (not necessarily for the right reasons) little bike which started life as a Honda CG 125 br-k. It has been much abused and modified since. with a later CDI ignition engine (probably from a cg 125-w but not sure of that) and front end from a Yamasaki YM 125 (with disk brake). besides a racing foam air filter. I've had it for nearly a year now and given it a really difficult time. crashed several times and ridden pretty hard. but it's never let me down. I was using it daily up until a couple of weeks ago. Good Bits-new rear tyrenew clutch cablenew front wheel bearingsnew front brake padsMOT until 11th Julyvery good headlightBad Bits-front forks twistfront brake not working properly (may just need bleeding)whole front end moves (I just tightened the headstock bearings but it doesn't seem to have helped)one of the cylinder bolts is snapped inside headchain worngenerally batteredside panels missingthere is a bit of crankcase blowback so the piston rings could probably do with being replacedthere were advisories for the MOT on the rear shocks for misting and slightly reduced function (being light i never had any problems)As you can see from the pictures. the bike is in pretty bad condition overall and could do with a lot of tlc. or a rebuild. The racing air filter and adjusted carb needle make her pretty quick as 125s go (I could keep up with new cbrs and such pretty easily) but I never got around to re-jetting the carb so there's probably a fair bit more to be had if you were inclined that way. The exhaust has extra holes drilled which makes it sound fairly good (people generally think a nice bike is coming until they see it :-) It has been a really fun bike to ride and I'll be sorry to see it go. but I have another bike and need to pay for the insurance :-(You could theoretically ride her away but I'm not going to be responsible if you crash a hundred yards down the road. !If you want to come and have a look or ask anything text or ring me on 07521 550676
