This stunning and much sought after tax exempt 1974 Honda CB450K7 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 14953 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. This is the actual bike you are bidding on - Not library pictures from 40/forty years ago!!!. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the Seat lock assy. battery & tool kit. It has obviously stood a while so the master cylinder isn't working. Sadly the fuel tank picked up a dent in transit. BU**ER!!!. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. good hubs & brake plate. disc & caliper. Forks & yokes look straight & very clean. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Indicators are tidy. Instruments & switches look ok. Fuel tank & side panels are in the original paint. sadly tank is dented & has some surface rust inside. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression – When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs but the carbs do need cleaning. If you have been looking for a classic CB450K7 to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS so get bidding!!!

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of title but we will provide proof VAT & Duty is paid on the new NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. To get a dating letter - Phone Honda UK customer support on 01753 590510 who will advise you to request in writing with the bike details Model. Chassis & Engine numbers and enclose a cheque for ?30 to:- Honda UK Mc. 470. London Road. Slough. Berk’s. SL38QY

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ?55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
