Honda Varadero XL1000 VA-8

Here we have for sale my very treasured Honda Varadero.  Low mileage and i am only the second owner from new. I would describe the bike as in very good condition. There is a slight mark on the front offside above the indicator which i have tried to show. There are some slight scratches on the top of the top box. This was caused when i slipped and the bike tilted over and the top box caught on the fence. I purchased the bike in 2009 with approximately 1000 miles from the one previous owner. The bike has now done 13779 miles. most have which have been touring with my wife. The last trip was France 2013 and it was brilliant. incredibly comfortable for 2000 miles. I changed both tyres prior to France last year and i haven't really ridden the bike since. The bike came with Givi crash bars which are showing some rust signs. I have added bits over the years to make touring more comfortable / carry more luggage. I am 6'5" tall so invested in a higher screen which is fantastic and has a lot of adjustment compared to the old one. Cost £125(ish)I have added a bagster tank cover and i have the bag to go with it. I have the givi monokey luggage and a matching top box. I also had wiring put in to connect up a sat nav. i used a garmin nuvi in my tank bag which was really good. My reason for selling is basically we haven't had the opportunity to ride the bike since our big tour and with our current lives there is no likelihood of us doing anything for the next few years. I didn't re tax or MOT the bike so it has been off road since Feb this year. The bike is Sorn'd at the moment as well. I will be putting it through an MOT so if there is anything wrong it will be put right before the buyer collects. I can tax it for 6 months if that assists with the sale. This bike is excellent and i don't want to end up letting it go really cheap. I was intending selling this as a complete package. but i am open to selling the bike in a more basic form if you don't require the luggage or high screen. I am starting the bid at what i consider the bike is worth without the luggage and tall screen so if it sells for that i will be removing them. I will leave the tank cover.
