Description

My name is Jerod Walter and I maintain a collection of modern and vintage motorcycles for a private collector. There are two categories of motorcycles that are always on site. While most are located in a climate controlled showroom. there are also the bikes that are awaiting maintenance or in need of restoration that are located in the on site motorcycle shop. Every so often we need to make room and thin the herd for new bikes coming in. The following bike comes straight from the showroom and is in perfect running condition. Up for auction is this beautiful 1974 Honda CL360. This is only the second home that this bike has ever seen and has been unbelievably well cared for its entire 41 year existence. The mileage reads just a bit over 1500 and I have no reason to believe that to be incorrect or altered in any way. This machine is absolutely 100% original except for the IRC period correct tires that have less that 100 miles on them. When purchased in New York three years ago. it still had the original factory Bridgestone tires that were in amazing shape but in order to turn this into a safe rider. we replaced the tires in June of last year. The rest of the bike is in excellent. original condition. It has never been dropped or abused in any way. That being said. the bike is not absolutely perfect. It is 41 years old and has never been restored. The paint still shines like new although there are a few minor scratches acquired through the years. There are no dents or dings and no cracked plastic in any of the body work. The seat is perfect. The inside of the gas tank looks brand new with not even a speck of rust. This bike has been loved! The original exhaust system is in amazing shape with no holes or repairs. The chrome throughout the bike is beautiful with only minor pitting in certain spots. The engine has never been repainted and only has a few scuff marks from the rider's boots on the right side case. I have many years of experience with vintage Hondas and very rarely do you see the clear coat on the forks. wheels. and alternator cover in this condition. Absolutely amazing! Another indicator of the low miles are the condition of the gauges. They look like they did when the bike rolled off the showroom floor. Cosmetically. this beauty is stunning. The best part about this bike. though? How well she runs! With a little choke. the CL starts right up. idles perfectly. and is ready for the road. Everything works as it should on this motorcycle including all lights. turn signals. charging system. brakes. horn. etc. You will not be disappointed in this classic! It had a routine maintenance check in October of 2014 and has been ridden only sparingly to make sure everything is in working order. The oil was changed and the filter was cleaned. A new battery was installed and it has always been connected to a battery tender. The fork seals were replaced and new fork oil added. The brakes were inspected and have plenty of life left in them. A sure sign of the miles being correct. The timing was set to factory specifications and the valves were adjusted per the Honda service manual. The original toolkit is still located below the right side cover. There are no surprises with this vintage classic. The bike is turn key and ready to ride or show! This motorcycle will include a clear New York title and bill of sale. It is located in Wimberley. TX about 40 miles south of Austin. We will require a deposit of $500 through PayPal within 24 hours of the auction's end. The remaining balance will need to be received through a wire transfer. cash in person. or certified check that will need to be cleared through the bank before the motorcycle is released to the buyer. There is no warranty on this motorcycle and it is being sold as is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. however. I can help to recommend a shipper and will work with them however I can to see that the bike makes it safely to its new home. If there are any questions. feel free to email them via EBay or please don't hesitate to call Jerod at (830)237-7507. Thanks and good luck bidding!
