1986 Honda NS-400-R - ROTHSMAN Edition - 3 Cylinder - V-3 Two Stroke Only 8. 85 Original Miles. (Speedo Is in Kilometers @ 13. 25) This bike sat for over 10 years covered - prior to my purchase. The Carbs have been cleaned and balanced. It has fresh Non-Ethanol Premium Gas in it and it starts & runs perfectly. The bike now starts on the 1st or 2nd kick when cold. Note in the You-Tube video that the bike is started cold with the choke on - after about 30-40 seconds the choke is able to be turned off and the bike idles idles at 1. 00-1. 00 RPMs. Here's a You-Tube Video of the bike starting Cold -https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=iZ2BuOlwoV0&feature=em-upload_owner I've installed a new battery and battery tender hookup - see picture. Prior to being put into storage the previous owner was able to acquire new fairing parts - nose - upper & lower - side panels -tank shelter etc. and then apparently stopped driving it. The bike does have some rust on some of the fasteners and some corrosion here & there - but remember it is a 29 year old motorcycle. Study the pictures. The inside of the gas tank is very clean & needs no attention - see the picture. All of the lights - head-high & low. tail & brake - all 4 turn signals - horn. speedo & tach work properly - see the video. There are only 3 issues needful of attention if you plan to drive the bike -1- Tires -while there is about 70-80% rubber left they are about 20 years old and should be replaced if driven. I have not done this because tire choices are many & should be made by the person who will ride the bike. 2- The Fuel Petcock leaks when running. I finally have sourced a rebuild kit over in the UK and have ordered it. This kit will rebuild both the Petcock portion AND the Vacuum part that allows the gas to flow only when the engine is turning over. See pictures of the purchase invoice. I will USPS Priority mail this kit to the winning bidder along with the bill of sale. 3- The Rear Brake master cylinder needs to be re-built. You can bleed the system correctly but starts sucking air after a few days. See pictures of the purchase invoice. I finally have sourced a rebuild kit over in the UK and have ordered it. I will USPS Priority mail this kit to the winning bidder along with the bill of sale. This bike was never shipped to the USA and will be sold with a bill of sale. HOWEVER because the bike is over 25 years old - and only for the winning bidder - I will give instructions on how to get the bike both titled & licensed in your state.
