HRC HONDA RS125R 1988 RS125 RUNS WELL, GOOD RESTORATION BASE, ORIGINAL.

Honda HRC RS125R 1988. Japanese Import. Frame number: RS125RF-88101**       Engine number: RS125RE- 88101**Both numbers are Honda factory originals untampered with. (last 2 digits ommitted for security)This bike has been sitting unused for many years and has suffered from rust and corrosion as can be seen in the photos. I have cleaned the carburettor. and recommissioned the engine. It now starts easily and runs well. Gearbox and clutch operate correctly and tacho works. Piston is very good and cylinder bore still has honing marks and minimal wear. I have ridden this bike up and down my long drive and mechanically all seems fine. The bike was stored without coolant and has helped to preserve the radiator and water pump which does not leak. Front brake works well. rear brake is soft and spongy and will need attention. A good restoration base. Most parts including bodywork seem correct for a 1988 model RS125R. Issues:Seat cowl is broken. Fork stanchions are pitted. Tyres are cracked and hard. Screen broken. Temp guage doesn't work. Lots of scuffs. scratches. corrosion and rust. Doesn't include the stand seen in the photos. Cash on collection best.
