Honda C50 LA

Welcome to my auction of my little Honda C50 LA. This is the fully automatic version of the classic Honda and is quite rare. I acquired this a few years ago for spares but after making a temporary fuel supply it started 2nd kick and sounded great so I thought I would restore it. I replaced the rusted fuel tank with a good second hand one as well as getting a new front rim and spokes. I rubbed it down and painted the frame and forks.  I have left some original paint on the steering bars which keeps some old patina. The only real rot was in the end of the rear mudguard which I ground out and painted up and then made a rubber guard to cover the small hole.  I MOTed it in 2010 and ran it for a while. It went well going down hill I got 45mph out of it! On the flat it does about 30MPH but going up a steep hill it slows down to pretty much walking pace. The engine sounds lovely and quiet and the automatic gears work ok. It has not been used since 2011 so will need a good service as well as a new battery as its not holding a charge. It also has mini rear indicators which you may want to replace as when I got it. it didn't have any. There may be other bits and bobs that need doing to get it through a MOT and the seat cover is holed and needs replacing if you are going to use it in the rain.  This is a great little starter classic bike that will keep you tinkering or you could strip it down and restore to concourse. Of course it could be used daily if you really wanted to! I have the V5 in my name but not changed it to my new address yet. I can take you to my parents house where it is registered if you are worried. Obviously this is collection only no postage is offered and don't expect to be able to ride it home as it has no mot or tax.  Cash on collection preferred.
