Runs and rides

V5 Logbook present

Currently no MoT

Spares or repairs. very nice basis for a restoration project.

I will describe the bike as precise as I can in the following paragraphs. /p>

Frame. Subframe & Swingarm

All in good order. straight with no accident damage. Corrosion in places. only surface rust no rot.

Suspension & Steering

Forks a little tired and will require attention.

Stanchions clean and true no corrosion or pitting to the chrome. seals leaking.

Rear shock operational. does what it should. cosmetically tired.

Wheels/Tyres/Chain and Sprockets

Original �Comstar� wheels are straight and true. no buckles or dinks. Anodising fading.

Chain and sprockets are ok and usable.

Front and rear Bridgestone Battlax tyres are within legal limit.

Brakes

Front brake is operational. discs are in good order. plenty of life left in them. not warped or grooved. Pads ok.

Rear brake not operational. pistons seized in calliper. will require attention.

Rear disc corroded.

Tank. Fairings and Seats

All bodywork parts are the original ABS items. no fiberglass replacements.

All showing signs of age with minor defects such as scratches. a few small cracks here and there and tired paintwork.

No signs of major or accident damage. certainly recoverable.

Screen as become opaque over time.

Tank requires attention as has been at some point in the past treated internally with what appears to be some sort of sealant. this has broken up and is now just debris contaminating the fuel.

Left hand mirror cracked.

Electrics

Rear light. brake light and left rear indicator not currently working. I suspect it requires new bulbs as all wiring is still intact and present. Everything else is operational and works absolutely fine.

Engine/Gearbox

Good engine. starts with ease. no nasty knocks or rattles. no smoke. runs smoothly and revs freely.

Gearbox selects all gears with ease and finds neutral no problem.

Exhaust is blowing to the rear of the collector box. will require replacement or repair.

Conclusion

Overall a good honest very original machine.

With a little work can be enjoyed on the road. alternatively an ideal candidate for a restoration project.

Fast becoming a rare classic machine. don�t miss out on this little gem!
