Description

Honda cb450 motorcycle. The date of manufacturer is 8/71. This motorcycle is being sold with no reserve and will sell to the winning bidder. Miles are low because I never rode it much. I decided to sell because my 16 year old son needs help with a car. I put a new battery in the motorcycle and started it and rode it on this cold day. It ran great at higher rpm but would not idle. I don't know why it would not idle. It always idled before. Maybe the cold. need tune up. old gas. I don't know. But it has good power and shifts nice. The engine is clean with no leaks and no strange noises. The motorcycle has always been stored in my shop. The chrome is in nice shape for a 71. The gauges are clear and bright. The inside of the fuel tank is shiny clean. There are no dents. Fuel system is in good clean order. carb bowls are very clean. fuel valve works great too. no fuel leaks. Lights all work good. i found that everything works on the motorcycle but the electric start. again the electric start button is broke. I never used it and never really needed to. The engine always started fine with the kick start. The air filters are after market UNI filters. Rear tire is nice shape. front is 1/2 life. All gauges work good and even the turn signal indicator in the gauge works. The turn signals work fine too. The seat is in good shape. The exhaust is in nice shape. I looked hard under each muffer and pipe and there is no holes or soft spots. a little lite surface rust. Thanks This is a relisting. The first buyer was a non paying buyer. This motorcycle now has a clear title in my name. The first listing it did not have a clear title. I was able to fix the title problem. So now I have a clean ohio title in my name for the new owner. I also had to remove the battery that i replaced. The . battery did not seem to be holding a charge. I put another new battery in it. now it seems to idle when I ran it in the shop. I also tested to bike to see that it was charging the battery. Its charging fine.
