HONDA CX500B Unrestored, 1981

For sale is my CX500B. the paintwork is absolutely stunning and hard to believe it is over 30 years old. even the seat looks like new. the engine sounds as sweet as the day it left the factory in Japan  and it rides good and tight and feels so right. you just can't find them like this nowadays.   It has a beautiful patina of age to it. slight pitting to front mudguard but that only adds to it's character. I have had the bike for 4 years now but I have hardly used it. seems a shame to let it lie dormant. but as I have 3 CX650's 2 CX500's and a Moto Guzzi. I don't have the time or room now for all these bikes. so something has to go.

 The bike has obviously led a cherished life. I am the 3rd keeper in all these years.   The tank internally is the cleanest rust free example I have ever seen.   bike starts on the button. even after a couple of months inactivity. MOT'd till 19-8-15 but it will sail through its next one. bike currently on SORN.   The only thing that does not work is the rev counter. but I have a new OEM cable for that.

This bike lived in Jersey for most of its life. it even comes with the old Jersey Plate. I have spent quite a bit on the bike upgrading some things

Marzocchi Fork Brace

Master cylinder and stainless steel brake hoses

Ignitech Ignition

Road Rider Rear tyre

Aftermarket exhaust system complete (including H Box)

I probably won't get back what I have paid in new bits and pieces. but thats the way it goes I guess. but I really need the room.
