1997 HONDA CBR900RR FIREBLADE RRV BLUE/WHITE

Fire blade RRV for sale. It's been a running project since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago (around 10k miles of use) but now genuinely gutted to see it go but I have a wedding to pay for and own a very clean ZX6R. Either the spare bike goes or the Mrs. You can see who won that one!The plan was to street fighter it as the fairing is tatty. as well as the wheels. The previous owner did a rubbish job of respraying the wheels so now they are a multicolour. It's been very reliable the whole time of owning it besides a few electrical gremlins which turned out to be the rectifier. A very common problem on these bikes. All issues were diagnosed and repaired in December 2012 with no further issues. Replaced rectifier. starter solenoid and plugs (all genuine Honda)The bike has had lots of money spent on it and includes many new parts.  It's been serviced every 4000 miles with the last one 30 miles ago which includes new oil and filter. air filter clean and oil (K&N). brake calliper service. spark plug check (plugs were changed at previous service). Carbs have had a recent service. cleaned. balanced. bigger jets fitted. new needle jet o rings and has given it a few extra ponies. Brakes are fairly new and have plenty of life. Front tyre has loads of life. rear is starting to square off having done around 3000 miles. Chain and sprockets are still full of life. Battery is around 2 year old. Some of the work carried out based on the receipts I still have includes:May 2014 - New front and rear pads. SBS HH sintered at the front and EBC HH sintered on the rear. Front wheel bearings. March 2014 - Genuine Honda steering bearings and dust seal kit. August 2013 - Genuine Honda cam chain and tensioner. Jan 2013 - New fuel lines. Dec 2012 - Parts from breakers from a 7000 mile mint. crashed blade. Wavy brake discs front and rear. nbsp;callipers front and rear. New parts: brake piston seals fitted. stainless steal downpipes and exhaust can (very loud. sounds great and gives a few extra horses up the rev range). rear wheel bearings and sprocket carrier bearings. Besides the obvious cosmetics. the engine has developed a slight rattle when under load at low revs. The rattle goes away above around 4000 rpm and the engine pulls smoothly and hard throughout the rev range. Valve clearances were checked when the cam chain and tensioner were fitted and were nearing their limits so I suspect they need shimming. Its been fantastic fun to own and ride and will make a great. easy project for someone looking to build a custom street-fighter or willing to re-spray it. Even with the mods. it still returns around 40-45mpg and I even got 49mpg on a long run in the summer!It's had tons of money spent on it and I believe I'm asking a very reasonable price for a reasonably quick sale. It's taxed until the end of the month. MOT'd and ready to ride away. Offers close to the asking price will be considered but no silly offers please.
