1979 Honda CB250T Dream Barn Find
I have a key and the old fashion V5 from 1986.
The last two old MOT certificates. 86-87 with 7166 miles and 87-88 with 7372 miles
Last taxed in 1989 and stored ever since at the back of a garage.
Interesting reg. CMG 5V. might be worth something to the right person.
This Honda is showing only seven and a half thousand miles!
Even though it has been kept indoors there is a bit of surface rust which for the most part will clean off.
The silencers are shot. but that is typical of the original parts from the period but these and just about anything else you need are available on line from David Silver Spares.
The front brake has no pressure. the engine turns over and the gears select but I haven't tried to start it.
The paint work is in pretty poor condition but I've got to say it's pretty funky 70's style from a time when colours were called things like fizzy orange and crazy purple!
It looks straight. the forks are in fair condition due to the blown fork seals coating the chrome with oil. There is no fuel in the tank and no dents either. The panels are for the most part in good shape bar the one around the rear of the seat which is cracked and missing some paint but not beyond being repaired. The seat cover is good too. It would make a great restoration project or a spare parts donor.

Viewing
You are welcome to come and have a look for yourself. by appointment. I am happy to e-mail pictures direct to your own e-mail address so that you can see greater detail and I am more than happy to answer any questions you have to the best of my knowledge. I describe all my bikes as accurately as I can and do my best to notice as much detail as possible whilst I am cleaning them. I ride all bikes that are being sold as runners before I list them to make sure they ride as they should or as per the description. When you buy a bike from me you are welcome to have a mechanic check it over before you collect.
All my auctions run for 10 days. I always run my auctions to the finish unless there is a buy it now price displayed.
Transport
I have my own pick up so I may be able to help with local deliveries for a fee.
For deliveries that are a little further afield. I can recommend a very professional motorcycle courier called who's delivery costs are more than reasonable (phone number on request) or you can get a free quote from Shiply (it’s a web site a bit like eBay where courier companies bid for your delivery) using this link. http://www. shiply. com/rf/TQIGW8UGLA/ I’ve had some customers who have used the site and have been very pleased with the results.
I’m in South Devon
I am located in beautiful sunny South Hams in Devon close to Plymouth. Exeter and Totnes. so handy for trains or Exeter airport. The roads are twisty and scenic. so why not collect and make a weekend of it. Ride stunning coastal roads or head up on to the moors and end the day with a good meal and a few pints of Jail Ale at the Plume of Feathers in Princetown (there’s camping and a bunk house if you over do it!) Head for The Camel and discover the vineyard that beat the best Champaign to hold the title for the world’s best sparkling rose. Don’t go home without a mega brunch at Cap’n Jaspers on the Barbican in Plymouth. nbsp;loved by bikers. sailors. later-nighters and. er. pirates!? Spend an evening in great company. alfresco at The Winking Prawn in Salcombe or spend a lazy afternoon at The Oyster Shack in Aveton Gifford. Of course there are cream teas. pasties and some brilliant British surf. Great gastro pubs. beer and loads of B&B's. Most importantly you’ll find a welcome from all the bikers in Devon and Cornwall which has the highest density of motorcycles per capita in the UK!
I’m a Trader.
I am selling as a TRADER (this differs from a DEALER: I do not have a retail premises) with 20 years' experience in the trade. I managed a BMW dealership since 1999 (UK's favourite dealer 2006/7 RiDE Survey). Previous experience in a multi-franchise and a London Harley Davidson dealer.
