honda 1100 v twin custom

Honda vt 1100 (obviously not an indian ) I just got fed up with people asking what is it. so put indian stickers on it !

low mileage 8500 km about 5500 miles

I pulled it out of the garage last week and it fired up beautifully . I put in fresh fuel and rode it to the mot station

the Honda vt was build to compete with Harley . o were built very well with rubber mountings on the engines so there are no vibration through the bike. rubber mounted handle bars and with carbs rather than complicated fuel injection . the bike has two plugs per cylinder hydrolic  lifters so never any need to service / re gap the tappets and shaft drive so no need for chain adjusting . basically all you have to do is clean it ! 

showing signs of age here and there on the headlight and handle bars have slight rust and fork bottoms could do with a good polish and there is a chip on the tank

engine sounds lovely very very quiet with the standard pipes on . you may be pleased to know it also has a set of loud pipes with the bike that sound great but have been removed for the mot 

I also have mirrors and a chrome back light cover and a back rest  and a bag for under the headlight 

the bike pulls like a train in any gear is smooth and I would trust it to ride anywhere 

reason for sale is that I simply haven't used it in the last two years 

originally from the u. s. but transported to Germany by the first owner who was a in the army and posted there then he imported it into the uk

buyer must collect from blackfield Southampton within one week of the auction end and pay cash on collection only 

had a few emails already . es the bike is and always has been the 1100 model . yes the 750 model was supplied for the uk market . but not the 1100. so 1100s are imports
