Description

Ex-police 2005 650 v5 Deauville. WITH EXTRAS!You are looking at my silver 650 Deauville v5. This is an Ex-Police bike with the police service history. all showing that great and frequent servicing was done on a "time basis" and not on the mileage that she'd done. 2005 plate32k miles12 months Mot (almost)~5 months taxLarge pannier lidsShe was last fully serviced in March when I purchased her and another oil change was done in early august at approx. 28k miles. She still has good Tyre depth left on a set of Michelin PR3s. these were put on when I bought her and although they've done ~11k miles. they aren't even half worn yet. I've upgraded the headlight to a HID kit and installed a kill switch on the dashboard to turn off the HID when starting the bike to prevent damage to the HID bulb. There is also an additional switch wired into the the auxiliary power circuit to enable the rider to deactivate the extras that are powered through it. I've decided to leave on the autocom system. the PTT handlebar switchgear for a radio and the givi back box plate. Also. there is a 3. 5mm jack running up the left hand fairing pocket that allows an iPod (or similar) to be plugged into the the autocom. She also comes with an after market alarm (loud) & a Bagster Petrol Tank cover (black).

She comes with a tall touring screen fitted. but I also have a smaller (original) summer screen and an extra radio box for the left hand fairing panel. I do have a spare set of front pads in the garage as well. these will also be thrown in.

There are 2 main things that have been done to the bike recently.

1) The clutch basket: The bike was very hard to get into neutral. a common thing on the 650s. The clutch came out and the clutch basket teeth edges were filed down as they were worn and rough. Now finding neutral is a breeze and the gear changes are a lot smoother.

2) Electrics: There were some worn wires around the headstock shorting out a fuse. As a result. the entire wiring loom has been inspected by a garage. repaired and given a full bill of health.

The bad bits.

At the last MOT. the exhaust was also welded up to stop a blow where the down pipe met the silencer. There is a small hole in the underneath of the OUTSIDE exhaust cover. but in the outside only. She doesn't blow and it doesn't affect the MOT.

Also. as mentioned above. there are a few light marks on the panniers - but you really can only see them when you are close to the bike - I'd just rather mention them now.

Reason for sale: I bought her as a temporary bike whilst my Triumph Trophy was off of the road. and I'm now getting married and can't justify having two bikes.
