1997 HONDA VALKYRIE STANDARD WITH MODIFICATIONS-BLACK & LOTS OF CHROME

Beautifully maintained black & chrome. 1997 Honda Valkyrie Standard model. This was the first year of production of this first generation Valkyrie by Honda. It currently has 38. 19 miles. It has the 1500cc boxer. six cylinder engine & rated around 95hp at the wheel. Just passed NC vehicle inspection in February & all fluids changed during the winter. Always garaged. This is not your everyday Standard model Valkyrie. There have been a lot of upgrades made to it over the years. I will just highlight the big ones that are not so obvious. like all the chrome accessories that you can view in the pics. The biggest upgrade is the gas tank. The Standard model came with a 5. 3 gallon tank & you had no fuel gauge to know when you were about to run dry. I swapped out the tank for the larger 6. 9 gallon Interstate model tank and added an Autometer fuel gauge. I also. swapped out the Honda OEM petcock with a Pingle petcock. This larger tank extends touring range about 65 miles depending on your driving speed. In addition to the fuel gauge. I also installed a matching Autometer temp gauge. because Honda only gives you a light and by the time that think comes on it could be to late. The front fork springs have been replaced with Progressive brand springs. There are 4” risers by Aeromach with a 2” set back for a more natural riding position for the handle bars. The seat is a Corbin custom leather seat and was made for the Interstate gas tank. It also sits lower than the OEM seat. so more of your feet are touching the ground. The hard saddle bags are made by Nationl Cycle and are easily removable. The OEM red reflectors on the rear & the amber ones on the sides of the radiator were replaced with look-a-like LED lights. There is a Rattlebar heel/toe shifter & custom chrome radiator front cover. Replaced OEM horn with a loud air horn mounted on the left side of the bike just below the seat. Spark plug wires were replaced with Accel plug wires. Honda OEM windshield replaced with Clearview lexan one that is about 2 inches wider than OEM but the same height. Also comes with CB. removable radio mounted to the handle bars with push to talk button mounted on the left handle grip. This is a great long distance touring bike & very comfortable. I will also include in the sale the following: motorcycle jack. service manual. (2) helmets (size Large). one helmet has mike & speakers installed to use with the CB radio. included. Also included. one full size cover & one half size cover. gauge used to sync the carbs. and various other odds & ends that I find that go with the bike. This is a lot of motorcycle with a lot of extras you will have a difficult time finding on any other first generation Valkyrie Standard.
