Here is why I am selling a good running bike that needs nothing. and you can just jump on it and take her home: Before I got divorced in 2012 I had a big BMW bike (1200cc). Prior to that I always had cruiser or touring bikes over 1000cc. I got hit with a big tax bill right after divorced and had to sell pretty much anything of value I still owned. including the beamer. After I went through the tax ordeal I started to save money and I bought the Honda as it was the best I could buy for the money I saved. This was my first sports bike ever. and I just don't fit in that category. In a couple of months I turn 60 so I need big cruiser again. Learned the tax lesson and got a refund. so I am getting myself a Harley. This bike's auction starts at one penny for a sure sale. In the year and a half of ownership I never got stranded with it and it starts nicely (you just have to finesse the throttle like for any carbureted bike). Other than new fairings. new battery and new rubber. I had my mechanic replace the petcock diaphragm as the old one may had been cracked and there was some smell of gasoline or so I thought. Bike had a crummy saddle when I bought it so I bought a cheap one that looked more decent. Saddle has a significant rash and I painted it over so it looks okay and does not absorb rain water. Lately. as this saddle or any other original saddle this age. a couple of hairline cracks have developed. You can definitely ride the bike as is. but if you can afford a newer one. it will make the bike look even better. I am easy on brakes so the existing pads and disks should still last you a while if you are not too aggressive in your riding style. Has carbon fiber exhaust. Yoshimura (aluminum tag has rash. but it works and looks nice still). The only thing you may need to work on is to have the fairings fit more tightly; it is easier to work with another guy as a helper on such a job. I got most of the screws in place but a few of them I just got tired (was late in the day) and just used tie-ups then never found the time to try again. You may also want to do an oil change (has redline synthetic in it but it has been 6 months already; only a couple of hundred miles worth of riding but mechanics say regardless of miles. come six month the oil and especially the filter needs to be changed. I already have the filter and it will come with the bike. You just buy your oil. Also. you may want to do a coolant flush. Bike is not overheating so the existing coolant seems to be still doing the job well but I do not know when it was last changed. I just told you everything I know about the bike. It is a 24 year bike. so do not expect cream puff. and as usually sold as-is with no guarantee other the description being as accurate as I can think of. Thanks for your interest in my auction. Now for the NOT SO SMALL PRINT: if you have low feedback and the few items involved are for small amounts. contact me BEFORE bidding or I may cancel your bid. It is both frustrating and expensive to end up with a non-paying bidder. If you are not sure you want this bike. bid on some other bike please. I want an easy. quick and painless transaction. I am also advertising the bike locally so the auction may be ended at any time. I do not ship; either you pick it up or find your shipper of choice (uBid is something I used before and it worked well for me). You can inspect the bike before the auction end (no riding till you pay though--I can demonstrate that it works but again. you do not ride it until I get paid so I do not end up with a wreck and no money). Ask ALL your questions BEFORE you bid ideally. and definitely before end of auction and I will do my best to answer in as much detail as I can. Once the auction ends and you are the winner. there is only payment and shipping arrangement; no remorse. no change of mind. refunds. etc. You win. you pay. you get clear title and the bike.
