Description

Up for auction is a 1973 Honda CB350 Cafe Racer. This is a very well done build that runs great and turns heads everywhere it goes. I have owned and ridden many different bikes and none have gotten the looks that this one does. I wish I could take credit for the build. but I got it already built. The builder started with a fairly clean bike with about 7k miles on it. The engine is stock and original except for the new Sudco carbs with velocity stacks. The controls were all replaced with Emgo clip-ons. levers. cables. and switches. New tires and tubes were installed. and the stock battery has been replaced with a four cell Ballistic lithium battery. The stock wiring harness remains. so all of the stock electrical components could be replaced easily. Also. instead of a key. there is a toggle switch for the ignition. The real custom touches come from the license plate bracket. the custom seat. and to finish it off. the sanded raw steel tank. The bare steel tank really does set this bike apart. It looks great. and if any surface rust develops. a quick hand sanding brings the finish right back. Mechanically. this bike is in great shape. It fires right up and once warm. idles smoothly without smoking at all. It also has good power throughout the rev range without any hesitation. Cosmetically it isn't perfect. however. that seems to add to the look. There is a dent in the tank a couple inches long that a paintless dent repair guy could probably get out. The paint on the frame isn't perfect. and most of the chrome has some pitting or flaking. Also. the front brake needs to be adjusted. Aside from those things. this is a great bike. I really do enjoy riding it. but I haven't been out on it enough to justify the space it is taking up. If I lived in the city I probably wouldn't be selling it because I would ride it everywhere. If you have any specific questions. please ask and I will do my best to answer them.
