This auction is for a 1975 Honda CB550-Four Cafe Bike Project. Engine # CB550E-1063544Frame/Vin# CB550-1225867Real original miles: 6. 66 Miles. Title: CleanRegistration: Planned Non Operational Permit filed in CA DMVThis "Project" has pretty much all of the original parts from the 1975 Honda Motorcycle. plus a few extras. Original Owners manual and ignition & key included. A little on its history. This bike was bought by my father brand new from a Honda Dealer here in So Cal back in 1975. He rode it most of the original 6100 miles for about 10 or 12 years. He sold it to one of our neighbors whom was into dirt bikes and wanted a street bike. This neighbor never really rode the bike and it was soon stored in a back yard patio from about the late 1980 early 1990's. About a year ago another neighbor friend of mine that builds choppers and cafe racers. acquired the bike and began the restoration. His original intentions were to build this engine/frame into a Cafe Racer. The bike has a clean title and a Current Non operational registration waiver on file with the Ca DMV. so transferring title in Ca will be very easy and you should not have any penalties for the registration for the years the bike has not been on the road. As you can see by the pictures. the engine and transmission are in restored condition. The engine internals have not been rebuilt. but it has been checked to be in good enough condition that a rebuild would not be needed. The four carburetors have been rebuilt and as you can see in the photos are looking good. The frame is straight and does not have any appearance to have been crashed. The Handlebars even the grips are original from when my father owned the bike. Tires are original. but due to age are obviously in need of replacing. There is an extra front wheel. original and extra front and rear fenders. Original Tank and side covers are included as well as original seat. None of the harnesses have been cut. they are all in tact. As stated above. this bike was 100% complete when my friend began to disassemble it for restoration. so it began with going through the engine/trans/carbs. He took on another restoration and decided to sell this as is. So you are bidding on all of the stuff you see in the photos. It's all there. turn signals. harnesses. fenders. headlights. extra parts etc. Please ask any questions. I am more than happy to help out.
