Description

It is time to say good by to a trust motorcycle. This has been a great rider and project. Something tells me that this one is going to be missed. However. with a couple other projects in the way I think it is time to move on from my 1962 Honda CB77 Super Hawk. The motorcycle under went a complete nut and bolt restoration and has since been a great around town errand runner. The frame and much of the bike has been powder coated the tank was lined with POR 15 and painted. Many new old stock parts used. many parts sent out to be re-chromed. and all of the hardware has been cadmium plated. I have left some of the parts to my own taste. meaning this bike has some of that beautiful vintage bike patina. nbsp;because an old bike should at least look old. The particulars of the motorcycle are as follows:Top end of engine rebuiltHead rebuilt by Ed Moore in TexasCylinders have new sleeves and standard bore pistonsCylinder Machining was done by Engine Dynamics in PetalumaAll new Gaskets and SealsNew NGK plugMufflers appear to be stainless and came with the bikeOil pump rebuiltSeat recoveredCYB Steering dampener that came with the bike1962 Shorty Tail light 15. 00 original miles on the speedometerCalifornia Black Plate MotorcycleNew Heidenau Tires (still have the nubs on them)NOS and reproductionMuch moreThe bike has the typical super hawk cold start issues. but once warm runs very well. I had not run the bike through the winter months. I kept it on a tender and it fired it up at the end of February with little fuss. The bike won 3rd place in its class at the San Jose Vintage Japanese Motorcycle show this year and comes with the award. I have taken it out almost every day these last couple months. It is a great bike and everything a super hawk should be. Full disclosure. the starter started making some noise last week. a replacement has been acquired and I will paint it and put it on the back this week. Carb jetting May need to be adjusted for your elevation/location. Engine VIN available upon request. engine is the original engine for this bike. Feel free to ask me questions by phone or message. 415-420-8989I reserve the right to sell and list this motorcycle locally.
