Honda CB750 F2 SOHC Honda Britain 1979 Project or Restore Cafe Racer

For Sale Honda CB750 SOHC F2 Honda Britain 1979 I bought this bike as a project in 1997 did loads of work on it and ran it for a few years at weekends to rallies and shows.  My partner and I then moved to Holland and kept it in the living room for 5 years. Since our return to the UK its been dry stored. I have started to re-commission the bike as I was going to start riding it again this year but my work is moving to a new unit soon and I will lose my storage space so the Britain has to go. As with all these projects I've spent much more than I would like to admit on the bike.  In the last few months its had a new stainless Yoshimura copy exhaust from the states. a set of Mikuni CR carbs from Alans Performance. new batttery and chain sprocket set. The engine starts. runs and sounds perfect. It will need to be run up on the dyno to have the carbs set up properly but Alans are very experienced in setting up carbs on the bench so it should run pretty close as it is. The seat has been professionally rebuilt on the original base with a gel layer so it should be great to ride. The paintwork is quite discolored and has been touched up and has plenty of marks. I think this is probably the only Honda Britain in these colours as I believe it was painted from new in the Palin Motors colours who were a big Honda dealer at the time in Derby. There is a faded sticker on the tail piece of the 1979 TT races and I was told that it was probably taken as a promotion bike.  The bike will need a small amount of work to get on the road (brakes bleeding ect. ) and will make a brilliant winter cafe racer project.  When you come to view you will see its not all original but will make a great base for a restoration.  I'm more than happy to answer any questions but please feel free to come take a look at the bike in Rugby Warwickshire Please message. text or phone Steve 07792859019
