Well. I'm doing it. I'm sad. but I have some other ventures in life that could use a kick start. So up for sale is my 1993 Honda CBR900RR in the faster (rumored) and better (confirmed) color scheme. classic red white and blue. I have owned this bike for almost 3 years and it never fails to draw enthusiastic comments. praise and offers to buy it from those who know what it's all about. I'll spare you the long story. but we all know this is the bike that changed the game. While Kawasaki. Yamaha and Suzuki were busy adding cubes and weight. Honda went in the other direction and released a 900 that weighed the same as everybody else's 600 and a legend was born. This particular bike has a few modifications including 39mm flatslide Keihin carburetors ($1100 new). stainless steel braided brake lines. Dynasty rearsets. Corbin seats and what I believe to be a Two Bros exhaust (name plate is gone). The flatsides can be a bit temperamental. I replaced the rubber gaskets this winter but they could use a tiny bit of tuning. As many of you know. flatslides are almost never 100% perfect. The bike pulls hard at 90% throttle. but that last little bit tends to make it bog a bit. That having been said. even at the 90% it's an animal and tries to pull the front wheel in 1st and 2nd gear constantly. Make no mistake. it is still very fast (feels as fast as my 2001 GSXR-1000)A few little details that need attention: - one headlight is burned out- dash lights don't work- the temp gauge doesn't work (sending unit)- could use a new chain soon- turn signals are aftermarket and act a little strange (slow to flash and when they finally go. they flash quickly)I also installed a brand new Shorai LI battery (saved almost 5lbs!) just this week. I will be uploading video of it starting and running shortly. Clean and clear title in my name and ready to go. Local pickup is OK. Shipping is OK. However shipping is NOT included in the price and is completely up to the seller. I will take no part in arranging the shipping. I will release the bike ONLY when funds have cleared my bank account. Buyers from other countries are welcome. as long as somebody puts CASH in my hand. NOTE: The black tank pad seen in the pictures has been removed and the tank was fine underneath it.
