1974 cb750 Cafe Racer
Totally taken apart all tabs were removed the welds were cleaned up on the frame and the entire frame was sand blasted and repainted with the best satin black paint I could buy. The top end of the engine was rebuild with new pistons and rings. The lower end was not touched as it did not need to be. The front and rear wheels were laced with 18” Stainess Steel spokes that were custom made. The front rotor gained a friend as we removed the speedo and added an additional rotor then we drilled them for added cooling and ascetics. New rubber finished out the package with Firestone Cokers. This bike runs and rides great I would drive it anywhere I made the bike to resemble Caf? Racer Dreams #5 Ciclope but I have a wife and at that time no children so I needed mine to be a two up caf? racer. As you can see the rear footpegs are still in place and the seat is big enough for two riders. The speed hump on the back acts as a very nice back stop for the person on the back. The bike comes with a clean Michigan Title and a bag of receipts. The only thing I would do with the bike if I was going to keep it is pull off the front brake calipers and repaint them or polish them. They have gotten brake fluid on them and the paint has started to bubble this of courses does not affect the performance. Below is a list of what I can remember that was done to the bike.Custom copper oil tank
Custom all leather seat and hand grips
Wheels respoked with stainless steel Buchanan spokes
18" wheel front and rear
4 into 2 exhaust with very nice heat wrap
New Uni Pod filters properly jetted
Newer Firestone Coker tires front and rear.
Custom dual drilled front rotors
New Break pads
New copper break lines that tie in with oil tank and copper on hand grips
New regulator/rectifor with super small A123 systems battery
Rewired and made into Kick start only bike
New top end of the engine. Pistons & Rings
New Dyna coils and electronic ignition
New progressive front fork springs
New fork oil new fork seals
New engine oil seals
chopped rear fender
All new paint on frame shocks forks swing arm matching satin black
Fires up first or second kick every time this bike sounds and runs perfect. I would ride this bike anywhere. This was a year long project between me and my father. My dad is a 45 year veteran tool and die maker with many car and motorcycle restorations to his name. Youtube video below. https://youtu.be/B3-v28ibIAM On May-18-15 at 08:02:05 PDT seller added the following information:I forgot to add that this bike was wired with bar end turn signals. After it was put together that way I did not like it. So I took them off. The wires are still in the handle bars so if you wanted to add bar ends or something else it is wired up for them. Also the bike does have a horn. There is not speedo on this bike so there is no odometer on this bike so the miles are an estimate since the engine was rebuilt. And a very high estimate at that. These tire are the tires that were put on the bike when it was finished and they have lots of life left in them.
