Description

Original 1977 Honda Trail 125 Dual Sport Enduro MotorcycleRuns and Rides Great! Here we have for sale a very cool original 1977 Honda Trail 125 dual sport motorcycles. This is a very unique motorcycle that Honda built but in 1977 was the only year they imported to America the bike. The imported Trail 125 is this year 1977 which makes these bikes pretty rare and unusual to find. The bike is all original except for the rear tire and possibly seat cover. The paint on the bike is pretty nice all over and on the tank as-well. The tank is in really nice shape for its age it has some scrapes and scratches here and there but no dents. The inside of the tank is nice and clean. The bike is loaded with factory accessories that were installed on the bike when new. The bike has unique large front and rear rubber mudflaps which are factory parts. There is also an accessory gun rack on the front of the bike. Other factory accessory include the enclosed rear chain guard to keep mud and dirt out of the drive chain there is a factory chrome rear luggage rack crash bars on the handlebars and glide plates in the swingarm to help protect the bike if you went down on the street with it. I just installed a brand new battery in the bike and rebuilt the carburetor and put a brand new oem style petcock on the bike. The bike runs and drives very nice. I have ridden it around all over and it's a nice cruiser bike with decent power. This is a great trail bike too! It's very easy to ride and very user friendly prefect for all ages of riders! The bike has a close first and second gear so that it makes trail riding a breeze. There is a 5 speed gearbox so that you can comfortably ride the bike on the street. The bike is in great shape overall but it does have use wear and scratches on it. The bike frame has scratches in the paint and wear on the engine side covers. The seat cover is in good shape with no tears or cracks in it. The exhaust is original and the heat shields on it are in great shape. The exhaust tip was shortened for some reason. The chrome is in nice on the bike but does show a little wear and patina on it. The front tire is original and cracked but it still holds air fine. The rear tire is like new and in great shape! I have the original battery for the bike that I replaced and I also have the original owners manual too that will come with the bike. Battery optional if the new owner doesn't want it. I just thought it was nice to see that it was the original one when I replaced it. I replaced the grips with brand new OEM grips that match the original ones. The levers are original and same as the handlebars. The controls are all straight and in good shape. The plastic switches have faded a little bit from sun exposure. It appears that the speedometer lens was removed and then put back on. The bike still has its original key with it. The electrical all works but the brake light and rear turn signals. It appears that the wires are disconnected but I don't have a wiring diagram to put the wires back in place the right way. The low beam doesn't work either but the high beam front turn signals and horn do work. Front front fender is original but it does have a crack in it. Both side covers too have a crack in them everything can be repaired but still work just fine as-is. There is a crack by the mounting hole on the headlight. The rear mud flap has a wore out sport where it most likely got caught up in the rear tire and wore out a spot on it. I do not know the entire history of the bike. I do not know any service that has or hasn't been done on the bike. Overall it is a great bike for somebody to ride on the street and they can ride off road with ease. I have a California title on the bike. Please contact me with any and all questions that you might have before bidding on the bike. My phone number is 775-830-6760. Thanks for looking!
