2005 Honda RC51 I bought this bike brand new in 2005 I am the only owner. I used to ride everyday to and from work and in the canyons. before i had my kids riding was my life. but now the bike does not get riden enough and its time to let it go. it has a Ohlins rear shock ( so much smoother then the stock shock worth the 1700$ i paid for it) set for a over 200 pound rider. Sato carbon exhaust pipes(the best sounding and looking exhaust but very expensive i paid 2000$ for the set) CRG brake and Clutch levers (much better feel then stock levers) Braided steel brake and clutch lines Carbon front fender tank protector and wheel hugger swing arm mounted license plate ( it wont hit the ground in a turn unless your crashing) Led tail light turn signal undertail kit frame sliders with caps (you can change the colors of the caps and just replace the cap if you drop it saving you from buying new sliders) Vortex keyless Gas cap i replaced the battery 1 month ago and it has a battery tender ill include with the bike. I also have the smooth rear seat cowl as well. the front forks were re-sprung as well. but they will need the seals done they have been leaking. generally this cost 200 dollars at a bike shop. front and rear tires are in great shape rear has less then 1000 miles in it front im not sure but its probably less then 2000 the bike has not been riden much in the last few years. oil filter and spark plugs were changed just a few months ago. I dont have service records i do my own service but it has been well taken car of in that regards. it has been crashed a couple times but all the fairings were changed none of them have road rash on them. there is a crack in the right side of the tail section I think that came from riding with a helmet strapped to the side. there are some paint marks on the exhaust pipe that should rub out. there are varios other rock chips on the lower fairings that you get from normal riding. it has had the flapper valve removed ( i think they call this the nicky mod) as well as the soft rev limiter and the evap emission can thing. ( California models have it) The engine runs great ive never had any problems with the engine the Stator was replaced about 3 years ago as well as the regulator rectifier always Use at least 91 octane ( the bike does not run well on lower you will notice it very quickly if you ever put lower octane in it) These bikes are hard to find now days this paint scheme was only available in 2005 and 2006 Honda stopped making the bike in 2006 . The last of the V twin sport bikes. its a amazing bike great power and torque and the engine runs so smoothly at high speeds. one of the biggest differences i had noticed between a regular 1000 and the RC51 this bike is so smooth at fast speeds.
