1988 Honda Africa Twin XRV 650 RD03

This bike is the rare HRC-developed XRV 650 Africa Twin RD03 in very good original and running condition. This 1988 AT was one of the first released to market is 100% original and includes the following extras: aftermarket windshield (original available)center stand crash bars givi top case and quality hand fabricated/welded aluminium panniers. The original owner'smanual is also included.

Bike history: The previous two owners for this AT reside in Germany. When I purchased the bike lastautumn in Germany there were no repairs required except a standard cleaning and a bolt placed temporarily up through the rear wheel well to hold the seat down (rear seat strap missing). This bike was a true gem to ride and has been very well taken care of. The chain and sprocket are in good order and nearly new with only a few hundred miles logged. Just beforeshipping to the U.S. the muffler developed a small exhaust leak where it meets the main pipe requiring a refitting of the clamp. The right front main panel also has a missing original bolt with finger tab replaced with a standard allen head bolt.I recommend a lube/oil/filter change but otherwise this bike is ready for smooth riding right off the trailer. Please note German owners care meticulously for their motorcycles and follow German annual technical inspection requirements making a used bike from Germany one of the best cared for on the market. This bike has minor scratches and very little surface corrosion. There are scratches on the red leading edge of the front fender. The fuel tank is undamaged with clean interior. RD03 decals exhibit minor flaking and are known to flake near the panel seams between fuel tank and main panels. Please note the odometer is inkilometres.
